Greenpro Vallisneria Spiralis | Italian Val Potted Live Aquatic Aquarium Plants Pond Tropical Freshwater Fish Tank

Came in nice and tall and very green. even got 2 plants in one order. id recommend not taking them out of the bag until your ready/have a place to put them. i put them in a bucket and forgot to fill it up all the way and in a matter of an hour out of the bag in the bucket the exposed leaves started dying. dont be stupid like me lol but now they are in my aquarium and looking good.

Plants looked a little damage but its kind of expected given the amount of time it took to ship. But they planted well and look to be thriving its only been two weeks but their looking good.

DO NOT BUY. Sold as “italian valisneria” is actually its larger american cousin. Plant arrived much earlier than expected which was nice, but upon arrival a majority of the leaves were broken. The plant lacked any significant root structure, an essential for this type of plant to survive. Furthermore, many of the leaves had been poorly chopped to fit the height description and as a result are melting. I had shopped around for some time to try and find a reputable seller for this plant and unfortunately have yet to find one. VERY UPSETTING

The Vallisneria arrived healthy and green but instead of Spiralis I received a huge pot of Vallisneria Gigantis, the leaves are 1/2 to 1 inch wide and 20 inches long! It looks kinda ridiculous in my 29 gallon tank but since I bought it to the time I received it, spiralis is no longer available so I won't return it as I need plants in my tank. Other than wrong plant type, the plant was in great shape despite being held over the weekend by UPS, as always, Greenpro plants arrivve packed well, insulated and pest free. I will replace this Giant Val when more spiralis becomes available.

Ordered 3 of these and was the perfect amount to fill in the background on my 20 gallon long plants were healthy only a couple off colored leaves and good roots and nice color.

UPDATE: Have had this plant 4 months now, and I'm still overall satisfied with it. I took it out of its pot (the roots started to rot in the pot), broke it into 4 pcs, "planted" 3 in the warm temp (72-74F), high light tank, the other pc in the larger, 64-66F, low to no light tank, no CO2 or fertilizers in either tank, shallow sand substrate in both. Those in the warmer, well lit tank have done quite well and have just recently started to "crawl". (New, mini versions of the plant sprout from the bottom and crawl over the substrate until they find a nearby area to "take root". Once they establish themselves, they grow quite quickly. The older, taller "leaves" regularly die off and have to be cut away so as not to foul the water.) The one in the more difficult tank has not self propagated, hasn't grown much, if at all, but it's still alive. Considering the difficult growing conditions in that tank, anything that doesn't die is a hit with me. I'm leaving my rating at the original 4 stars but do recommend the plant, even in difficult growing conditions......just be patient and don't expect miracles in those situations. (PS - The other plant I mention in my original review, below, has fared much better in the larger tank, and I HIGHLY recommend that plant for difficult growing conditions, specifically if purchased and already established on a pc driftwood.)ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have an online acct with USPS so am able to request that pkgs be left inside a bldg on our rural premises rather than in our outdoor, black mailbox that sits in the sun all day (with maybe a 75% assurance that the request will be rcvd by the mail carrier and honored). I doubt there is any kind of pkg that could withstand the kind of intense heat that occurs inside that kind of "container". In the winter months, the problem would be the opposite......Freezing temps and frozen plants. This was key to receiving the plants in good condition, and the excellent pkging kept them moist while inside the relatively cool bldg.I bought two plants from this seller, delivered together. This one and a Cryptocoryne, both for a 20 Gallon Long aquarium that will house one Axolotl.  Cryptocoryne Green Driftwood For Aquarium Plants Freshwater Fish tank Decorations Easy Put in Your Tank by Greenpro  The plants arrived quickly, both looking a bit travel-weary, but both are green. The Crypto looks a little better than this Vallisneria, but I have no reason to believe that both won't perk up and look terrific in a few days. This one is at the back of the tank and comes right to the surface of the water, 12 1/2" deep (does not break the surface). The squared-off, slightly brown tips tell me it has been top-trimmed, and will likely need trimming again soon. It's not skimpy looking but I do hope it fills out and gets "fatter", not just taller. It sits next to the foam filter and waves ever so slightly in the very light movement of the water. It's an attractive addition to the tank, and I'm very satisfied with the purchase and the seller.

Looks great, no complaints at all

This is absolutely top quality. well-packed, extremely healthy plants. Order arrived promptly several days earlier than estimated. I got them planted into the tank as soon as I received and the time will tell how they do. They looks healthy with great looking roots system. I will no doubt buy more of these or something different from this seller as I need.
