I use paprika in most things I saute because the color change tells me when the oil is hot enough. This paprika was a vibrant red and turned a nice brownish red when sauteed in oil. Excellent flavor, too, of course.

I ordered this to refill my large bottles of spice. As it is in a plastic bag, there is less waste than a full hard plastic bottle. The flavor was good and it was a large amount -- perfect for making my bbq rubs. The flavor worked well for my rib rub.

I use a lot of paprika. I add it to everything, and I often make a few dishes that require copious amounts of it (Hungarian goulash is my favorite use). It doesn't take me long to go through a packet of this size (8 ounces), so I dont bother to transfer into glass container. I notice subtle flavor difference among brands, but I think it comes down to type of pepper and region, rather than a quality thing. This has the taste and smell of what I expect from a basic non smoked paprika. Slightly sweet. I like it a lot, and I like Spices Village as I have tried a few different spices and have pleased with them all. I use spices all the time, so I am often buying and trying various kinds. No problems with this brand.

There's certainly nothing wrong with this paprika, but the paprika I bought this to replace has a much richer taste and flavor than this paprika. So for me this is just okay and I may try to find a more flavorful paprika than this. I will not order again.

The color is a good, fresh red, and not the brick-red color of an old paprika. It has a bright reddish, orange color and comes from Peru. My bag has an expiration date of Dec 22, plenty of time to use this much for families that go through a lot. For those that can’t use it by then, it will still be good, just less potent but you can also share with family and friends.This bag contains 8 ounces and is a good value.

This package is a great value for the quantity you get. It's currently just over $1 an ounce, which is a deal compared to the jars in the grocery store. I'm not a huge fan of the package, though, because dispensing out of zipper pouches is a pain. Also, if any of the powder gets stuck in the zipper track, it won't close all the way so you won't have an airtight seal. I guess you don't have an airtight seal on most spice dispensers with flip-top lids either, though. That said, the spice is aromatic, beautiful in color, and adds a nice flavor to dishes. I use it in my own spice blends and sprinkle it on top of deviled eggs. Again, great value! I did received the old-style packaging (brown bag).
