Q: How long is the hose?

Hose is about 3 feet long then connects to a garden hose

Q: have to use 2 hoses with this dog fountain?

No. Only one hose. This dog fountain provide a Splitter in case you wish to use another one in addition to this one.

Q: Why will the hose not stay connected- it keeps popping off!!!

I sent mine back for the same reason. I tried using the v connector and reduced water flow to a trickle; it blows off. I couldn’t connect the hose directly without a threaded coupler which doesn’t come with it so same result; it blows off. I put a brick on the paddle board to relieve the pressure, works but defeats the purpose so it’s a waste of money especially for the price. The little black barn that pops in the adapter is not built to hold up the the pressure because of reduction in size of the garden hose to the white hose. You need a threaded adapter similar to plumbing hoses like your bathroom sink. At 60 bucks I wasn’t spending more money to make it work. I’d send it back

Q: What’s the minimum weight for a dog to be able to use this?

I would guess that it could be any weight. Just the dog needs to be able to use his paw to push it down. It doesn’t require a lot of force.
