Qualifying Statement:I am the Faculties Director of a very high end, like a 5 star hotel, senior living community in the PNW.With 40+ years in the trades coming mostly from High end construction ground to roof, 20 of which as a successful Remodeling, Repair and Additions GC in one of the wealthiest areas of the US.Sorry to brag, My point is I have a high level of competence for my trade.My team is in charge of all Maintenance, Repairs and Safety* for this property.Many of our doors have custom varnish finishes.Before I took over here people were using door wedges and they have wreaked havoc on the bottoms of doors. Some causing significant damage to the finishes (breaking veneers from the bottom of doors).These repairs can be time consuming and require skilled hands.As a result I have been taking wedges away and installing magnetic holders.All of our doors are solid very heavy (Fire Rated) and have Hydraulic Rams installed on them.I've had bad luck with other brands but these seem to do the trick.They have strong magnets and their finish is acceptable.Additionally everyone has appreciated the new magnets and are happy to give up their wedges.I suggest spending the little extra to purchase these over the completion.*please be aware propping doors is a violation of Fire Codes in some areas. I am in no way suggesting using these contrary to Safety requirements. I advise speaking with your local and/or state Fire Marshals.With that said our Fire Marshals have been fine with using them as they are not used for smoke containment doors and are easier to close in a hurry rather than pulling/kicking a wedge from the bottom of as door.

I had a problem with a slowly closing door. This magnetic stop works great keeping the door opened.

Almost too strong

Use this in a guest bedroom and I usually have the door open but hate moving a door stopper when its closed. Highly recommend if most of the time it is open

I really like these no more rock holding the door open. Only thing is I wish the arm was a bit shorter.

Easy to install. Measure and install with screws. We have it screwed into our baseboard and it keeps our door with three spring-loaded hinges open without issues.
