It is packed with features, has great documentation, a backlight, and gets readings very quickly. I also like that it comes with a soft storage case that can hold probes and the manual. It is quite hefty, so if you need a compact DMM this might not be the one for you.

Excellent meter. Has all the options. Excellent price and build quality. A precision instrument. Really delivers on all specifications.

The meter was good while it worked, however after 6 years of light use it is now showing "InEr" on the display. Not acceptable for a two hundred plus dollar multimeter.A video on YouTube for a DM200A with the same error states that you need to disassemble and reflow the solder joints for the probe connectors. Mine looks Ok, but there does appear to be some oxidation on one of the fuse connector solder joints. I looked in the manual but did not find any trouble shooting guidelines nor any mention of the "InEr" message and what it might indicate, apart from the obvious.Definitely disappointed with this at the moment, since it failed in the middle of a problem I'm diagnosing. Probably going to replace it with an Ames DM1000, since it is one fourth the current cost of this.

Great product and transaction, my only complaint is that the package looked to have been opened, it arrived taped shut.

I work in the electrical field for many years and also do small electronic repairs. I purchased this meter because you get more for the money than you get with similar features from other professional brand meters.The Greenlee DM-830A is a true RMS, well made, solid with features easy to use and has a good accuracy.The large lightened display is a great feature, especially when you are testing or troubleshooting motors, electrical, electronic controls, or electrical panels in poor visibility areas.The continuity test mode has a loud and robust sound, the meter is fused for overload protection, has a lifetime warranty, and comes with a carrying case. The feeling and functionality of the meter is similar to the Brymen BM829 multimeter, that I had when I worked in Europe.

I was comparing between Fluke 87v and this model and I'd have to say I really like this because of value and all the features I get. Definitely worth it.
