Nice radio
This id the second one I've owned and the one problem this unit seems to be plagued with is the volume knob. It's a digital control and it does seem to be the weak point of the system. I have seen a lot of complaints about it so I would recommend buying the extended warranty.

Warning not the same plug wiring!
Warning this is not plug and play from previous boss dvd 2din stereo. Not sure why they decided to change the plug wiring although it's the same plug. Also no phone external antenna connection.

Pretty nice
Installed easy, came with good diagrams, puts out really good sound in comparison to stock headunit. Just make sure to calibrate the screen. Once I did that was completely happy with the screens performance.

Did not work as expected.
This radio didn't work. When first installed it seemed to be working, as we drove it would fad in and out. We sent the first one back, got another one just like it and was the same way. Will not try another one.

You get what you pay for
Cheap and it shows . The equalizer rests constantly . The bass goes out and the whole deck cuts off and then back on .

FLASHY CHINESE JUNK AT A GREAT VALUE!!
I bought this unit for my son's truck. Had a lot of bells and whistles for a great value (on its face). Whoever designed this stereo did a phenomenal job of "window dressing" and presentation. When you read the many features of this stereo, you have to ask yourself, why it is not selling for $380 rather than $180? When you install it, you will know why. Firstly, the screen is not "touch screen", it takes hard pressure just like the manual stereos of yesterday past, to navigate the functions. Even then, the controls are finicky and have a mind of their own whether to be responsive. A potential safety hazard driving down the road, as it distracts from keeping your eyes on the road and other drivers. The graphics are substandard, the screen flickers when the lights are on, the Bluetooth does not work properly, not microphone port, underpowered, etc. In other words, it cannot perform at the level it claims or appears. Local stereo stores have for the most part, discontinued this model, as it has resulted in pissed-off customers demanding their money back. Boss has since sweetened the pot by throwing in a "rear camera" also cheaply built. The reviews are beginning to catch up with this stereo which is why you see Crutchfield and others have dropped it off their best sellers list. NOW....... this being said, Boss does make a nice little stereo, but you have to climb into the $300 range to purchase something you will be satisfied with. My advice, purchase a Kenwood or Alpine if you are looking for something of quality. This being said, for my son? I was not going to purchase a Kenwood or Alpine for his dented truck, so this is a step up from the old factory stereo. My point is, if you are thinking of purchasing this unit in the hopes it will perform as it appears.... DON'T!! Opt up for one of Boss's $300+ units and believe you will be pleasingly suprised..... but this unit is NOT it!!
