Every book I read from Jacob Chance gets better and better. I truly enjoyed Penalty. I found it intriguing and devoured it from beginning to end.Brady Lincoln is the son of a former NFL player and the star quarterback for Boston’s University football team. He is the bad boy player that every girl on campus, and off, wants. He has choices and stays clear of relationships. I liked Brady. Yes, he was cocky and all alpha, but when he meets a woman that matters, all bets are off and he steps up his game.Harlow is a good girl. She plays by the rule and follows the path she set out for herself. Brady Lincoln is not an option. Not even close. A man like him, who plays the field and women, with expertise no one can deny, can break her. So she watches from afar and stays behind the scenes. She is not willing to risk her heart.All it takes is one party, one drink and she is suddenly on his radar. Brady takes one look at Harlow and he is determined to make her his. He slowly begins to break down her walls. The more time they spend together, the harder he falls. But will his past come back to haunt him and destroy everything he wants?I really enjoyed this story. I love sports romances and bad boys, especially alpha players who seem unredeemable. And then when the right woman comes around, everything changes. Brady wanted Harlow, but had no idea how to win her. Harlow wanted to avoid Brady at all costs, but their chemistry was undeniable.Jacob Chance has quickly become a go-to author for me. I have read all his books since his debut and he has only gotten better. Penalty was sweet, hot, and sexy. Brady and Harlow were both great characters and I loved their friends, Nick and Raine. This was a great romance that will pull you right in.I give Penalty by Jacob Chance 4.5 stars!Happy reading!

This is the second book I've read by Jacob Chance, and he does not disappoint! I'm coming to find that I'm enjoying his books and writing style more and more. Boy, can he write a sex scene!Brady (no not that one, though he’s a quarterback, too) is a cocky manwhore; there are no ifs, ands, or buts about it, and when I first read about him in the prologue, I was hoping he'd meet someone who knocked him on his a**. So he does! Harlow, having been raised by Cindy, an emotionally distant step-mother, is definitely not as experienced with the opposite sex as Brady is, but she knows what she wants, and a football player is not it. Upon their first meeting, she acts so disinterested in Brady that he ends up chasing after her; the one girl who's ever rejected his advances. She makes him work for it and when she finally gives in to him, they fire up the pages!I appreciated the slower progression of Brady and Harlow's relationship, because as a reader, you get to see what Harlow does; that there's more to Brady than meets the eye. Underneath that persona he carries so well is a really sweet guy who didn't know what he was missing: the love of a good woman. There's a twist in the book that I honestly didn't see coming and it had me floored. I don't know what I would do in that situation, but thankfully it wasn't my problem. :-)If you're looking for a quick sports romance with humor (those shot toasts, haha!) and sweltering hot sex scenes, then this is a book that you have to pick up! I look forward to reading more of Jacob’s work and I'm hoping that he writes books for the supporting characters in this one.

Penalty is Jacob Chance’s first sports themed standalone romance. While quite different from his previous books it sure as hell rocked it in my book! Penalty is sweet, uber steamy, with just enough of a twist to make it angsty.Brady is the star quarterback of BU football team. Following in his dad’s footsteps Brady has a pretty certain chance of going to the pros once he graduates. But he is arrogant, a bit cocky and unquestionably a lady’s man. He could and does have any woman he wants.Harlow is the exact opposite of Brady. She is very studious, kind of nerdy but she is by no means a wallflower. She is kind of shy but she can also speak her mind. Harlow’s also on to Brady’s ways of one night stands. Furthermore, she will not be added to that list!But what happens when Harlow literally bumps into Brady? Totally smitten with this grey eyed beauty he sets his sights on her. Little does Brady realize that she is not going to fall for his charm. Yeah, you guessed it….Brady has his work cut out for him.Here’s the thing, for the first time ever Brady really felt things for Harlow. For the first time in his life he wanted a girl to be his. Brady was determined to do whatever it took to have Harlow. Taking his time to not push Harlow would be new for him but he would do whatever it took.Their banter was sweet and funny and holy crap when they got beyond the banter. Let’s just say their chemistry rocked their worlds!! I loved how sweet and thoughtful Brady was with Harlow too. She had totally changed his way of thinking.But what would happen when something from Brady’s past shatters their world?I truly enjoyed Penalty. If this is a glimpse of Jacob’s talent I can hardly wait for his next book!!

I have to say that the only thing I didn't like is that Brady slept with Hallows stepmom. Yeah, it was before they got together but EWWW. Her step mom is nothing but trash, the way she treats Harlow is horrible.

I love any American football reads.This was by far the best and I enjoyed it so much I read it in one day.Brady- is the QB who is gods gift to every women who fall to their knees to get to know him. But not the boy behind the QB just the boy in the sack. He has a reputation of a player. Not a player on the field but a player in the sexual activities.But one day his smirk and flex of muscles and his “I’m a football player” doesn’t work in a girl and it throws him. Like he is shocked.But will he be able to weigh her down to get to know more or will she duck and dive away from him??Harper- is a girl who has been through a lot. Has a step mum that is like a Cinderella step mum, so negative. But she goes to college to do what she has always wanted. She has her head in the books and not in the looks of guys or frat parties. But that all changes one night when her room mate pulls her away from the books to enjoy a night out.Then her whole world changes, but is it for good or bad??You will enjoy this read and you won’t forget the name Brady/Harper.

Penalty is unlike any other book Jacob Chance has written, a completely different genre and he smashed it. I'm not sure he can write a bad book. Sports romances aren't usually my go to genre, especially American football being that I'm Welsh and don't really understand it but that didn't make one difference to enjoying this amazing book. Brady and Harlow story was wonderful, from her keeping him at arms length to them falling. As Brady's room mate said 'one day you'll meet a girl who'll knock you on your a**' . The twist that put a spanner in the works for them , The wtf moment I had when I read it, I honestly did not see coming , genius. Another must read for any romance/erotica , sports romance or Jacob Chance fan for sure.

A recommendation for this author has me hooked on his style of writing! The characters are realistic and the story grabs you and keeps you reading! Brady is a star college footballer and he meets Harlow at a party. Their first meeting is anything but good but it has Brady wanting more of her. Their path to a HEA isn't smooth but it is realistic and with a few stumbles that threaten their happiness they're a lot stronger together! A great read with fantastic characters

I’ve heard so many good things about this author but haven’t gotten around to reading any of their books until now and I think I’m hooked. I loved the writing style. The characters and storyline were great, although I was left with a couple of questions unanswered. I really liked Brady in that once he had his sights set on Harlow, she was his everything.

Brady does a lot of growing up real fast when he falls in love at first sight with Harlow Their relationship nearly gets destroyed when Brady's player past catches up with him. I am hoping we find out what is going on with Harlow's stepmother in one of the other books down the line in the series. And what happened to Cameron after he tried to intimidate Harlow...
