I got this to go with my 3M lamination machine which came only with 3mm. I am new to laminating but to my way of thinking 5mm is way to go. I am laminating reference cards for various camera lenses, so I needed something fairly tough as these get taken in and out of a camera bag. I printed them on my computer so they are just printer paper and I couldn't afford for them to get wet. These worked extremely well. A couple had to go thru twice, but I think this is more my budget laminating machine issue than the pouches.

Fits the certification cards the employees need to carry with them without being too large for your wallet. laminated neatly and without gaps in the lamination near the paper.

These are an excellent value if you have to laminate a lot of badges. Great if you want to laminate business cards. I will tell you that if you are doing badges then you will need a slotted badge punch as these are not prepunched. That being said it means if you have a punch you can punch them long side or short side as needed making them flexible to fit all of your badge needs.

I purchased these on a whim, thinking I needed 5 mil for my cards that are flimsily.First off, they are great, and work like a charm, but as I found out, 3 mill really does the job and actually fits better in your wallet.Don't get me wrong, these pouches are great, but for every day use, and also for fitting into your wallet, go with the 3 mill size as you will not really notice the difference, other than the price.Also, you can trim them down to the exact size of the card laminated and the fit is perfect. In other words, these are great pouches.
