I wasn't sure about buying these at first. But the last few months worth of eggs are filthy. We have 9 girls so get anywhere from 3-9 eggs a day. They have 2 plastic coops and 5 nest boxes built in, but the little buggers will only use 1 nest box. They scramble over the eggs to lay their own but then cover the eggs with mud and poo. Not great.Since putting this stuff down instead of the sawdust we previously used, they now just lay an egg and leave. No more sitting tight annoying each other about whose allowed in the best box at what time.They're not cheap, but are easy to clean, I just lift them up and bang them on the side of the enclose which releases the dust and poo. All our eggs now are as clean as shop bought ones but without the price and with better flavour.

I saw that these are used a lot in America and I wanted to cut down on waste, so decided to swop bedding in my nest boxes in the coop to these mats.When they first arrived I thought that they looked hard and prickly but they’re actually not that bad.The hens have adapted to them and now there’s no poo in my nest boxes which is amazing! The eggs stay clean.The mats are really easy to clean. They just lift out, I give them a shake and then hose them down.Would definitely recommend.

The media could not be loaded.  Great idea, had seen in the USA but never in UK. We started using the pads this week and already have more eggs saved from breakages and being covered in mess.The design also makes them very easy to clean, we just give them a bash and the dirt falls out. We were using hay bedding which was a pain to maintain and replace, so these will also save us having to buy more.

I have bought these nesting pads after reading the reviews. Do not know if others are paid to leave a positive review but I do think these are the worst laying pads and not worth a penny. Since I have bought them my hens prefer to lay eggs anywhere else but not there.NOT Recommend( as an update i have replacement it with Hay which my hens LOVE and no more mess in the Nestas before when i had these pads)

I loved the fact you can cut these down to size very easily and they are very easy to clean. No waste from broken eggs, brilliant

I would be amazed if this product cost more than a couple of quid to manufacture very let down on the product & price.

They fit perfectly inside my prefab laying boxes I attached low inside coop. Bey stiff plastic fake grass like appearance, but now all the egg laying happens on these instead of their nesting boxes!! Chickens really love them and took minutes to figure them out.

Easy to use..value for money...
