This is fine for occasional kitchen use. Just remember it's a sharpener, not a hone. You should get in the habit of using a steel to hone your knives before use.

I've bought quite a few knife sharpeners in the past few years, and this one is the best by far.It's easy to use and really does a great job sharpening knives. I would definitely buy it again.

Works great, better than expected for the price

Love this knife sharpener!! It's well made, easy and quick to use to keep your knives sharp. Basically, there are 2 slots in the top housing of the sharpener, they are labelled "1" and "2". 1 is the more coarse of the 2 slots, use it first for very dull knives. Then after a few pulls in the coarse side, you do the same on the #2 fine slot. My knives were not exceptionally sharp but with a few strokes in the coarse side and then the fine side, they are now much sharper and safer.

Wife wanted me to sharpen all the kitchen knifes so I ordered this sharpener. It did a great job, easy to use, run the knives through the sharpener per directions and ran through the dishwasher. All knives were sharp, good product.

This is a great buy!! It came ontime and I just couldn't wait to use!! All I had to do was take out the box place on counter and WABAM!!! I only swiped my knife thru it 3 times and it was so sharp that I held the knife in my hand while putting back in the box and the knife just barely brushed up against my hand and it shaved a piece of my skin off 😱😱😱😱😱😱. IF YOU HAVE DULL KNIVES I RECOMMEND ASAP
