On the thin side, but comes as described! Good for watercolour practice. Has a nice texture though will easily warp if too much water applied.

Not heavy enough for water media
I was hoping to use this paper for making cards with ink wash drawings. I had been using Canson XL 140 pound, which is a bit too heavy to fold. This paper is a bit too thin. It is more like a drawing paper. Will now search for something between these two weights.

Canson XL at a Great Price
So I am a beginner watercolor painter and like to practice on something other than Arches. I also make my own hardbound watercolor sketchbooks so when I saw this I thought I would give it a try. Not usually a Canon XL fan but I thought what the heck, it is such a deal.It arrived properly packaged so the paper we in perfect condition. It comes in a nice box that is good to store the paper in.I know this might not be right but I swear this paper is nicer than what comes in pads, I really like it. It is even acceptable on the back side in my sketchbooks.I bought a second box because I was afraid it wouldn't be available forever.Hope this helps.
