but books like this are far more convincing - and valuable - ...
Not a fan of this book. The advice is decent enough, but I couldn't get passed the consistent use of "studies have shown that....", or "science has demonstrated that....".I know it's only a short book, but books like this are far more convincing - and valuable - when they show the actual sources of the studies and describe what was done. Otherwise you just have to take it on faith that this is indeed what the studies showed. (Fortunately, the advice was rather uncontentious so the "studies" probably do confirm what the author is saying.)

Perfect book for those who are looking for simple ideas how to stay motivated and organised. Really helps, thank you.

Nothing new here
Irritating to read on a number of levels. The content regularly states 'studies show...' but doesn't include references. There's nothing new in this book - unless you've been living without access to the internet or newspapers. Try The Chimp Paradox by Prof Steve Peters, or anything by Matthew Syed for a more thought provoking read. The author regularly uses words that are plainly incorrect for what he wants to convey. What was the publisher thinking? Did anyone read this book before publishing? So pleased I chose this book on Kindle Unlimited so no money wasted.😀

Couple of interesting bits but mostly unrealistic
According to Mr. Mann, we should only work 100 minutes in every 150. I want his job! Couple this with tasteless analogies about randomly trying to shoot people not being as effective as sniping and I have trouble seeing any serious merit in this book.

Short but sweet
Nothing new here but presented in a clear and concise fashion that makes it easy to digest. Slightly taken aback by the use of shooting and killing people as a metaphor though.

Basic and not useless
It's the usual amount of padding around the topic with some pertinent insights, that you might expect. I read alot and possibly had higher expectations based upon the premise and introduction of this book, but wasn't overly impressed as it's basic stuff.

Good basic book
Does exactly what the title says. Not bulked out like previous books I have read.A good set of basic instructions with some good examples and you will not be overwhelmed with loads of charts and theories.

Short and to the point
This is short reading on how to change your habits and improve your daily routine from waking up until you go to bed.
