Q: Does the 3M 560 refill fit this 3M 549 scrubber?

I don't think that last answer is correct. The replacement heads that are listed along with this Scotch-Brite (B002YLX690) Extendable Scrubber are not the correct replacements. I have not been able to find the correct replacements on Amazon yet. The 549X-560-SIOC refills listed do not have a plastic backing plate that is slotted to fit onto the head on the B002YLX690.

Q: About how long does the sponge head last with avg. once a week use?

I have used the same sponge for an average 75 times. Depending on rough surfaces (less uses) smooth and regular use (more uses).

Q: What is the difference between b002ylx690 for $18.29 and the $29.00 scotch-rite ? do the use the same replacement heads ?

seems the 29.00 they say has a replaceable head ... think the other 18.00 may be just the pad ... thank-u M.L.

We were looking for the same handle you are looking for, the one with white plastic on the back with u shaped grooves. Those scrubbers are dark blue. We ordered this product from a third party, the box came from home depot and the scrub head was the wrong one. It was light turquoise and had a spiky plate on the back.. I wish there was a picture of the back because it would have saved time and money, they have to pay to return.
