Great item just measure for height.
Bought this item for our RV to give the bottom step a little more support, the step brace does just that. It is now firm and feel definitely more safe and supported going down the stairs.Just remember to measure your step before you buy it. They come in two heights and I unfortunately ordered the wrong one and you cannot exchange or return it. But we made it work by sticking a piece of wood on top of it for the extra height we needed.

Sturdy but hard to adjust to the exact height needed. The problem is that the square flanges on the top and bottom rotate with the adjustment screw making it difficult to adjust while in place. I have to raise the step, guess at the needed adjustment and then lower the step back in place. However, the large flange on top then gets in the way and won't let the step down unless move the support. The upper flange REALLY needs to be independent of the screw mechanism so adjustments can be made while the support is in place under the step.Also.. 7" minimum height is too tall for some sites.. 14" is ridiculous

Should have got 2.
This works fine but for added stability I should have bought 2, one for each side of the bottom step. It is also nice to note that the flat parts top and bottom have a hole so it can be attached to the bottom step if you want. All in all a good solution instead of buying a full set of stairs.

Item Not Returnable
I purchased this item to add stability to the steps on my travel trailer and it fails in every department. It cannot be tightened enough and with use it gets looser. It also slides to the side of the step over time instead of staying in the middle. I've tried to return AND contact seller but Amazon will not allow either. I would have given this product zero stars if that was an option.

Become scrap a step?
It does what it is supposed to do... stabilize the rv step... But DO NOT FORGET IT IS THERE BEFORE THE ELECTRIC STEP RETRACTS... It can easily become a SCRAP A STEP... SO I made myself a DANGER sign to put on my steering wheel so I don't forget to remove the save a step before ever starting the RV...
