Gorgeous living room easel with wheels. If every place you were going to paint outside were paved, this would be the easel for you.Unfortunately this isn't a great fully loaded easel because it weighs a ton. The draw is substantial enough to hold a few items to paint and I really like that. Maybe get a super light aluminum easel for plain air painting, if that is your goal.

I was really excited to get this easel and even more excited about the price. I should have known better! Sometimes you do get what you pay for. I got it on sale for approximately $115 but it had been almost $200. I took it out of the box and as I was putting the wheels on the latch fell off in front of the easel. I'm very disappointed! I didn't even get it set up yet.

The item arrived on time. Disappointed that I cant use it without a trip to the hardware store. There are no directions, so after a few minutes of trying to figure out what to do with the folding leg to make it not fall down, I realized the support brace is not bolted to the body of the box as it should be. There is an "extra" wing nut inside the box, but no bolt to put through the hole to secure it. I think once I find hardware to fit it will be just what I wanted, until then it is a bit useless.

I think if it were more sturdy, it would be heavier, so it's a tradeoff in that regard. Keep a pair of pliers in your tray. It needs tightening or the legs slide down...then untightening, and a few brass nuts and screws were lost in my daily transport, so they need replacing. It's like unfolding a long wooden octopus to get it up or down. Once it's up, and I'm painting, and it's all tightened up, I love it. Takes a minute, though. I think once I get a system, we'll be better friends.UPDATE: I've just lowered my recommendation by two stars. There seems no replacement hardware on the Internet. I've used other nuts and bold to make do, but one latch is broken, the other bent so it won't latch..... I've used it about 10 times, and I'm reduced to putting it in a bag because it won't stay together to transport without falling apart in the car. Everyone was envious that I had an easel with wheels, but not so much anymore.

Four star was given on this item due to it being shipped in its original box which took a beating. Thankfully the item was fully intact. I would have expected it to be shipped in an exterior box for protection due to the expense of the item.

Seems like the wood is nice and if properly assembled it will be good. I found some instructions on another item that will help for this - same process. I think the addition of some rubber washers on the wing nuts would be helpful to keep them from moving.

Awkward to open, pallet heavy, adjusting screws rough and awkward to turn, feels wobbly, has strong odor of varnish or other finishes.

I love this easel. It has a shelf I can keep my assorted supplies in, the adjustable frame brackets are perfect, and it’s portable. Just make sure to tighten the leg screws to prevent it from getting lopsided if you move it around while working.
