Warning: Not synthetic free!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. These underwear are nice but the stitching is synthetic! (polyester plastic)I specifically ordered these as it says they are synthetic free.In their website FAQ they say:''Q. What type of thread is used to sew the garments?A. For our Natural colored items, we use 100% cotton thread.''Clearly that's a lie.See my picture attached look at the stitch how glossy it is, cotton is not glossy, that's polyester. Also I attached a video burning one loose stitch from the garment, look how it violently burns like polyester thread. And after that for an example I burned an actual cotton thread and you can clearly see the difference.I'm really disappointed as I thought I've finally found something good, but NOT..

Good concept, flawed design
THE TAG IS SO ANNOYING! It's an innocuous-looking tiny tag that seems like it wouldn't be a nuisance until you try the pair on and it feels like someone is rubbing your tailbone with a scratchy feather. So I carefully took my seam ripper to cut out the tag only to find it has been secured with 100 stitches and up into the waistband. Well now there is a hole in my drawers where the tag used to be but I must say much more comfortable. The draw string waistband is a good concept but it's a fluffy cotton string that is continually stretching out. It must be 50% longer than when I got it. I had to retie it over a dozen times to keep the underwear from slipping off. The underwear is also made of the same stretchy organic cotton and it too completely stretched out to unflattering proportions after the first wear. This could be a way better product.

Thread unravels at hems
Cottonique drawstring boxers. I have found over the long haul using these boxers, the sewn serger seams at the leg are always unraveling. Thats pretty poor quality for an item that cost as much as this does. The boxer itself feels absolutely great once i removed the impractical and overly chunky drawcord, replacing it with a thinner string.Personally i would not mind an elastic waist if it were tucked inside a sleeve away from my skin. The chunky drawstring is suitable only for sleepwear. Other companies sell boxers like this with a drawstring of appropriate size. I am put off by cottoniques sewing skills, and have turned instead to ‘rawganique’ for my organic clothing needs. The names are so similar i sometimes wonder if they are the same company.

Waistband is atrocious
The waistband is far too thick, making a large knot that is very uncomfortable under normal clothes, and the underwear will not sit on your waist right, and will squeeze you when you bend your waist. And it is a pain to untie when you have to poo. Get Cottonique's boxer's with a stretchy waistband instead, they are much, much better. I use those instead. Funny how one product from a company will be a dud, but another product from the same company will be excellent. Go figure.

Most comfortable underwear I've ever worn... and healthy.
The most comfortable underwear I've ever worn, partly because of the drawstring (but great in many other ways). The overall design is great and makes for a good fit. I love the way the fly opens--better and easier than the 'sideways' style. The quality of the material is very nice and comfortable... thicker than some but not hot (has a finely ribbed type texture. I specifically was looking for underwear with a drawstring, and WITHOUT elastic, and this is the only company I could find that makes underwear like this. So this has no man made materials and the cotton is organic and untreated with chemicals. But the main reason I wanted no elastic waistband is because of the unhealthful effects of having elastic constrict your digestive organs. The drawstring is wide and flat, which makes it a little more comfortable than the only other drawstring underwear I've ever worn (the loose boxers also made by this same company). Sometimes the drawstring can get twisted inside the underwear after a wash or something, but I've managed to straighten it out with not too much effort. I have 2 of these underwear that I've been wearing for 10 and 14 months, respectively, and so far they have held up just fine, with no holes or stitching coming loose. Keep in mind that I never use bleach on these, as that will wear out the cotton sooner.

Good idea with some flaws in execution
The drawstring makes quite a large lump in the waistline, which is a bit annoying. A thinner drawstring would probably have been better. Then there's the fly design which often leads to an amusing exposure. Horizontal with little overlap just is not a good plan. But they are very comfortable and if you're allergic to latex and/or polyester, these are about the only play in town. Oh, and really expensive...

Comfortable and no elastic which eliminates the problem of skin ...
Comfortable and no elastic which eliminates the problem of skin irritation. Fly opening is more functional and easy to access than conventional openings. Two issues; 1 These stretch over the course of the day and noticed that they were less supportive by end of the day. 2 The drawstring is wider and more bulky than the one they ship with their boxer shorts. This makes for a large knot when tied. It does not show beneath your clothing but you can feel it at times. A thinner drawstring would be better.
