I purchased this Kiln as a gift for a friend who was displaced by divorce. Trying to rebuild her life and get back into her art, she had to give up her big electric Kiln and I thought it was tragic that she could no longer create the amazing dichro jewelry she did, so I got this for her. She has made several pieces for me in thanks, it does not perform quite as well as her larger professional kiln did, but for someone starting out with this hobby, I think this is a great option and I have even been tempted to get one for myself to play with.

I haven't had time to try it out yet but it came quickly and looks good. I can't wait to try to make some pendants.

I tried to use my microwave kiln and it wont melt the glass. the kiln paper charred, but the glass did not even get warm after 6 minutes in micrwave!!

This is a cheap kiln and did not work to my expectations.

But the 7"diameter is the external diam. not the working diameter. Productivity really got going after I bought 3 kilns since getting the kiln up to temp takes most of the time. Once I remove a piece from the m/w, I put another in and cover with the already heated 'lid'. I cast rather than fuse so this cuts casting time from approx. 20 minutes to 7 minutes. For my benefit I work in sets of repeated #s - one of my skulls will complete in 9:99 + 6:66 minutes; the hearts in 6;66 + 3:33 and the star in about 5:55.
