Easy install, replaces worn part.

The landlord won’t approve of me repairing the the item.

Perfect replacement.The emergency release clip broke on my trolley after 12+ years of heavy use.This replacement part was a perfect match (other than the original being a gray color).I had never replaced one of these before and it was super easy.So as a tip, you don't need to loosen the chain or anything. Above your garage door where the track meets the wall it should be attached to a mounting bracket by 2 bolts. 10mm if I recall. Remove the bolts, nuts, and washers, then you have access to the end of the track.Slide the existing trolley forward and off. Then the new one on in the same manner. Slide it back to approximately where it should sit, then reattach the two nuts and bolts (tighten back and forth between the two to help keep it perfectly aligned).That's it! I think it took me maybe 15-20 minutes standing on a bucket (professional style here).

Broke the original and this one worked excellent.

After getting a $300 quote from a repairman to fix my unit I purchased this for about $12 and replaced it myself. The old one had a lot of wear that crated wobble and caused the door to jam and stop like it had hit something. This piece took about 15 minutes to install and works perfectly. There are a couple of good youtube videos that show you how to do it.

Once I removed the old one and compared it with this one I realized that there was nothing wrong with the old one, it was all of the other parts that failed. I replaced it anyway just because and it works great. A perfect replacement for Linear door openers. Doesn't come with the Rip cord but removing the one from the old one and putting it on this one was easy enough.

Fit as a direct replacement for the broken one on my garage door. Can't ask for much more than that.
