Is your old 7-speed starting to act its age? A new cassette is just what the Spin Doctor ordered. Get faster more precise shifts thanks to the SRAM PG-730 cassette's ramped cogs. By the way, the Spin Doctor prescribes replacing your chain whenever you install a new cassette.

Only one I could find!
My wife's beach cruiser had the standard gears. That didn't work for her. She needed more space between them. I spent a bunch of time searching all over for a set of gears that would work. These were the only ones. Most gear sets have an extreme low first, but then they jump back to the rest being just like what she had. One caution. This is 'freehub.' Her bike had 'freewheel.' Research the difference. I had to buy a different back rim with the freehub in order to make this work, but it was worth it!

Super Nice
I really like this cassette. I had to switch to a cassette for my new rims, went with the Sram Sprocket & an Sram Chain. They work awesome together with my Shimano derailer. Note, had to use a 3.5 Spacer to fit the cassette on a rim made for a 10 speed cassette. The 3.5 Spacer made it all work flawlessly, didnt even have to adjust the derailer.

Perfect fit
Direct replacement for a worn out cassette on a friends Specialized Rockhopper. The cassette came with the lock nut. The new cassette and a new chain made the shifting quiet and like new.

The item was not complete.
This cassette was supposed to have 7 rings/sprockets. It only had 6. The smallest, 12T sprocket was missing. My return was handled quickly.

Daily Commuter
About every two years on my daily commuter bicycle ( Specialized Hard Rock mountain bike) I overhaul the drive train.I ride about 6000 miles per year on this bike through all four New England seasons. I don't spend an inordinate amount of timemaintaining the mechanicals on this bike and have found that this cassette and the similarly priced Shimano cassettes to last about two years before needing replacement. For me, it's a reasonable balance between price and performance.

Smooth shift, cheaper than replacing a cog
My 1995 7 speed Lemond Tormelet just keeps rolling along. No matter how well one cares for a bike, tires, chains and cassettes wear out. Obtaining most of the consumables is still easy enough but the 7 speed cassette will soon be hard to find. My bike sometimes doubles as a tourer and even with a triple chain ring, I need the big cog. Buy up a bunch of these while you can. The entire thing is on a spider so individual cogs cannot be replace but hey, this entire set is less than one cog shipped from QBP.

As good as I need.
Works perfectly on my 21 speed mountain bike. Easy to install with the cassette tool, and has been holding up fine for at least 400 miles of mixed street/trail use.

light weight
I like this cassette because it is lighter in weight than other cassettes that I have.

Excellent replacement for a 7 speed cassette. 100% Shimano compatible
Perfect replacement for my Shimano 7 speed hyperglide cassette. It fitted straight onto my shimano hub and I ordered the 32 tooth version which has given me a wider range of gears including a much lower one. Worked perfectly straight away and I didn't even need to adjust my gears; they worked perfectly just as before, only now the gearchange is much nicer as I replaced the chain at the same time. Highly recommended.

What's not to like?
I bought this to swap an 11 - 28 Shimano cassette that I bought to fit on a Mavic Cross Ride and found the gearing on some of the trails and Peak District rides (esp Derwent and Ladybower) a little bit tough.I prefer a higher cadence on hills and this 12 - 32 cassette has been just what I was after.I've only put 100 miles on it in the last 3 rides so it's early days but at this price it's a bargain.

Excellent range - works perfectly with my 35 year old racing bike with new wheels
An excellent ranged cassette. My 35 year old race bike had an old freewheel setup, so I needed a cassette that was appropriate for the SIS system when I bought some new wheels. I only have 6 rear gears currently, despite having a newer 7 speed rear derailleur. I've set it up to just use the 6 gears from 14t to 32t. It works flawlessly and is perfect for my setup.

Good cheap and cheerful
I'm on my second PG730, it is a good cheap and cheerful if you are doing big miles though you will only get about 2000 miles out of one of these and you will need to change the chain a few times.I will have no shame buying a third after I have worn this one out.

Perfect
I buy these cassettes every time I need to replace the transmission on my recumbent bicycle about every two years. This does the job perfectly and hopefully they will keep them on the market as some of us still use 7 gears on the rear.
