So far this is a phenomenal leash! As you can see by the photos, it fits perfectly in my hand. Has a nice soft feel to it. The button to brake, lock and unlock the leash is nice and big and very easy to manipulate. My dog is an 80+ pound pit bull mix and extremely strong. She's also quite dog reactive. This leash is able to handle her with no problems thus far. Highly recommended!

I have two 60lb Standard Poodles. I have had two of these leashes since April '23. Both perform quite well. They are sturdy and they are fast two retract when unlocked. The locking and unlocking took a little getting used to because the "Big Box" store brand that I had before located in the opposite direction. After a few walks you develop a new muscle memory and no more problem.The lead does not tangle when retracting and the hardware is robust. No reason to pay double for this type of leash at the store.

This will be my second (both different) retractable leash..I have a 2 year old 80# Chocolate Lab.The first one had a thin ribbon for the leash. I was concern about it breaking. I had it for one day and it got caught on a branch and frayed real easy so I returned it.This one here seemed much stronger and well made. The ribbon was much thicker and not as wide. I like the reflective ribbon that it comes with. Very comfortable to use but....the first time out and he pulled on it I noticed the brake mechanism did not hold my dog when I pushed the button. It felt and sound like the gears were stripping. A couple days later my dog saw someone he knew and started to run while it was locked and it did not hold him. He took the whole length of the leash and thank goodness the other person was just a little further. The leash jammed and I couldn't get it to unlock. I thought it was broken but finally was able to get it to unlock. Now with just a slight pull it will not hold at all. Sending this one back. Sucks cuz I did like everything else about the leash which make me want to think about reordering another one. This one may be perfect for dogs that don't pull so hard.

I love this leash so much! It makes it easy for my dog to go farther in the grass to smell around without me going with her unless she does #2. I love having quick access to bags in case my dog leaves me a gift to pick up. I also love where they put the button for me to push in case I need to stop my dog from going farther, I am able to quickly push it with my thumb and it has become something that I don't even think about anymore, I just instinctively push it now when I need it. My dog is also unable to get away from me when I push the button when she is pulling. I do have a bit of an issue when taking my dog out in the early hours because the bone part where you keep the bags tends to hit against the leash with movement making some noise and I worry about it upsetting my neighbors since I live in an apartment complex but thats more of a "me" problem and not the leashes problems. I would definitely recommend this leash, but I can only speak for this specific one with my dog weighing only 6 pounds.

Leaving a five star review because even though I had it for a very short amount of time I did like this leash. A couple weeks into using it though my Pit Corso was on a walk and a young pit bull pup got aggressive and Enoch wrapped the leash around a pole sign once and it snapped, was cut or sliced. I cannot tell what occured honestly and I will not blame the manufacturer when it could have and probably did have nothing to do with the construction or quality. Enoch is 100lbs of brute strength when he is scared or excited but I have a hard time believing he could have snapped this leash the way it came apart by brute strength. I am leaning toward it getting caught in something sharp that cut it then along with his strength it gave way. Going to tear leash handle apart just out of curiosity to see if I can see anything else and will update if I ever know for sure.Overall a well made easy to operate comfortable retractable leash. I’m ordering another so that should tell you what I think of the leash!

Like the set up of doggy bags along with a 16 foot leash just don’t let your dog chew on it like my last one I had it works great dropped in the sand though and a little sand kept the button from coming up took a pair of pliers pulled it up and shook out. The sand still working great.

This leash is NOT safe for dogs that are 85 lbs and prone to chasing things. This one lasted barely ten days before it snapped (she had not chewed it and weakened it—it snapped completely due to force).My pup saw a deer and ran full tilt at it, snapping the leash. The force of the snap back caused the leash (nylon part) to hit me in the face hard. Thankfully, the clip and some lead was still attached to my dog and did not hit me.My dog, however, spent thirty minutes running through forest in pitch black night, with me chasing her. She ended up in the old lagoon on our property, happily frolicking through twenty year old poop sludge while my partner and I chased her.I cannot express to you how much I regretted purchasing this leash when that dog shook her fur after coming out of that poop sludge and proceeded to cover my partner and I in it. I cannot tell you how much I regret purchasing this leash now, as I am faced with sanitizing an entire bathroom where we had to sluice poop juice off our dog for nearly half an hour.I have regrets, but you don’t have to. If you have a dog with prey drive, do NOT purchase this leash.
