Works well but very dark. If you want it lighter I would suggest mixing with clear wink of stella first.

Not what I was expecting. I thought the gold color would be more of a bright, glittery gold. It was, indeed, a mustard/golden color. Just not the "gold" I was expecting.

I opened the pen by pulling off the top, removed the black ring as instructed, re-attached the barrel, and shook till the little ball inside moved freely. Then the pushing. Applying pressure to either side of the middle brush causes the ink to work its way to the brush tip. But this is a tricky maneuver since it must be coaxed carefully into the visible chamber above the tip. I've done this before with other colors and it worked just fine. This time, not so much. I tried a dozen times to squeeze the ink into the chamber without success. Until there was success. And then some! It burped out on to my paper in four large blobs! It was so much liquid that it soaked through the card stock I was using.However, the glitter of this stuff was just amazing! Without moving the paper at all the ink shimmered spectacularly! So, I'm giving it a four star rating. Just remember to start on scrap paper until you're sure you have the flow under control.

The gold color of this is absolutely beautiful. I've been able to create beautiful cards with this. The gold is very opaque and glittery. Perfect for the holidays as well! And if you're into brush lettering, this pen also gives you nice thick and thin strokes. Be prepared though, as the thin strokes won't be thin enough for addressing cards. (Unless you only use the pen to write the addressee's name.)

The quality of these pens is remarkable! I've used these in my calligraphy workshops as well as projects, and I LOVE them! The quality and depth of the pigment is unmatchable. They are also easy to use and last a long time. The tip is nice and flexible, allowing you full control over flourishes as well as script.

For brush lettering, this pen is great! I use on watercolor paper and it's beautiful. The first one I received was empty or dry, but got a replacement within a couple days. Took a few minutes of shaking and squeezing (and a dis/reassemble), but then it was fine. Would be great for hand lettering envelopes.

I have used once so far not sure I will use it or give it to a friend who would most likely useit more than I.elaine

I LOVE the light glittery accents this brush pen adds to my cards. Clear goes on ANY color and looks so pretty.

Good for highlighting,outlining and embellishing. The Gold is quite dark,which needs to be taken into account. It's agood idea to try it out before hand as it may be too dark for painting over a pale gold detail. The clear wink of Stella would be preferable in this case .( I.M.O)
