Does the job, good construction, not too heavy but feels good.

I don't need a stepladder often, but when I do the small one I had felt very unsafe. For some reason two-step stepladders usually have a super tiny first step, plus of course nothing to really hold on to. The HBTower 4 Step Ladder is SO much better.The Good (well, great actually):1) Every step is plenty large enough to feel very secure when you're standing on it.2) The top step (which I don't think is meant for anyone to stand on) was the perfect size to strap on a shallow tray from the dollar store to hold my tools, screws, etc. within easy reach.3) The railings made going up and down SO much easier.4) The whole thing felt very sturdy, but I was still able to fold it and move it around with little more effort than my stepstool.5) Even though it's secure and stable, I was still close enough to things in front of me to work on them.6) The stepladder pieces were well packaged for shipping, with no loose bits or bags sloshing around in the box.The Bad (none of these were a big deal):1) The instructions could have been more complete. I had to figure out that I really was supposed to pry a couple of things out in order to put the thing together. I think they were there to maintain the shape of the holes during shipping, but they looked like part of the ladder.2) It took a little banging with a rubber mallet to get the top handle in place, but I suspect my son would have been strong enough to do it without the mallet. :)3) The tool bag wasn't very useful for me, but it also wasn't something I cared about. The slots were narrow and snug. I guess I could have stuck my screwdriver in one, but I still needed a place for the screws, nuts and bolts I was using. It was super easy to strap a shallow tray from the dollar store to the top step, and that worked beautifully.4) As expected, when folded it's deeper and higher than my old step stool. It's less than 28cm deep when folded, compared to 6cm for my 'flat folding' stool. Totally worth it.There's a lot to love about this step ladder, but for me the best thing is I feel completely safe using it.

I am so glad I ordered this stepstool! It holds up to 500 lbs. even though I didn't need that weight limit, but figured it had to be sturdy to hold that amount of weight! I love that it is very sturdy and does not move at all while standing on it. It folds easily and fits right inside my coat closet near my kitchen so it is handy to the whole house. I love that it is easy to open and I know it will not shift on me whatsoever. I have been wanting to wash down the fronts of my kitchen cabinets but my other step stool was kind of flimsy. I could not wait for this one to arrive. The very next day I washed down my kitchen cabinets and was thrilled I did not have to worry about it moving whatsoever the whole time unless I picked it up to move it over to the next row of cabinets. I did not need anyone to help hold it while I was on it. This is the only two step, step stool I will ever need. I highly recommend it to others who are wary of their current step stool even though they don't need one that holds 500 lbs. you will love that it is light weight but extremely sturdy and easy to open and fold and takes up very little space in your closet! Don't buy any other stool if you need a 2 step stool!!! This is the one and only you will ever need!!! It is well worth every penny! You get what yoy pay for and found this was not much more than the flimsy ones!!!

I used this from day one and I wonder how I managed with just the two stair step ladder. This was perfect for painting which is why I purchased it but it has helped me in cleaning windows and mirrors and changing recessed lights in nine and eight foot ceilings and replacing the upstairs ceiling air filter. It is light enough to move around and it is sturdy even on the top step This is the best purchase I have made in a while, you won't go wrong buying this one!
