I have bought this bag of crystallized ginger, twice. The first time, it was medium sized ginger slices. The second order was much smaller cubes, despite the bag still saying "slices". I don't mind the difference, but just letting you know, you could get either one.Both were soft and chewy, but ya know, soft and chewy like ginger is, not a like a gummy bear. The cubes were definitely spicier, and the slices seem a little milder but still have a kick. I like the spicy. Makes me feel tough without making me cry. The slices seem to be coated in a little more sugar than the cubes, even though both are well coated. It's like the cubes are covered in 1 layer of sugar and the slices were double dipped. Some people might say the slices have too much sugar, but don't listen to them. They probably only put 1 cup of sugar in their Kool aid and think Sriracha is too spicy. You and me are cool, and we know what fun tastes like.Even though you have no control over which bag you get, I do like the small cubes better, because it's easier to portion control with them...you know...maybe if you're a type 1 diabetic who's not supposed to be eating a bunch of raw sugar in one go...then you can just eat a few cubes. They're great for when my, I mean, they'd be great for someone's low blood sugar. The slices are bigger, and you can't just bite one and put it back in the bag like some kind of monster. I guess you could cut them with kitchen scissors, but I slice my pizza with a plastic butter knife, I'm not the kind of person that has kitchen scissors.The less processed a food is, the less consistent it's going to be. Some might be more gingery or more spicy, or whatever, it comes with the territory. I just like that these are unsulfured, since me and sulfur aren't on speaking terms, and they work for all the things people like to use ginger for. Nausea. A sweet spicy snacky-doodle between breakfast and lunch. Midnight low blood sugar. Whatever. They're good, and they're one of the better priced brands, with no glaring problems. 4.5/5 stars.

Bought to add to biscotti, lemon ginger yum. Very satisfied with quality and taste. Have to hide the bag from my husband. Will purchase again.

Fresh, soft and chewy. These ginger slices come in a sturdy package with a resealable zip close, so you don’t need an extra baggie for storage. The ingredients list: dried, crystallized ginger slices (and that’s all). No sulphides, no additives, no preservatives. I’ve had these for a month, and they’re still fresh & delicious. You can eat them plain to help an upset stomach; they’re fantastic for alleviating nausea, either due to pregnancy or illness. I have Lupus and these magical ginger slices settle my stomach when I’m extremely nauseous & my meds aren’t working. They’re also about half the price of what my local store charges, and since there’s no additives or chemicals, you don’t have to worry about preservatives. You can also put a couple slices in a mug & top with hot water, then steep for five minutes, to make yourself a ginger tea. Honestly, I don’t even like ginger, but its benefits outweigh my dislike.

Increased the price 30% since I bought it last. Not worth it now

Worth keeping around for occasional stomach upset and taking on airplane flights. Perfect sugar and ginger flavor.
