I have 8,10, and 12 lb. standard dumbbells, and this compact rack fits them perfectly.What a great rack. Sturdy and takes up little space. And it looks great.Just be sure to have 2 tools on hand: a medium flat-blade screw driver to open the plastic guards to put them on,and also a 14mm wrench (flat or socket) to hold the bolts as you use the supplied allen wrench to tighten things.

The space where the weight interfaces with stand is too small, which results in pinching your hands when you try to place the weight in it. Therefore it only serves as a stand to sit the weights on when your finished using the dumbbells. It’s not a practical use rack.

First, it takes some time and extra tools to set it up. I couldn't have tightened the many bolts with the flimsy allen wrench included (a socket wrench is needed). Second, the slots for the weights are not very big. The bottom slots hold my 20 lb dumbells, but nothing larger. The plastic "caps" that fit over the slots should be fused on, not slipped on by the assembler (me). I predict they will frequently slip off as the fit loosens.
