Easy Patio Veggies & Herbs

This book started to come apart after only using it twice! I’m literally putting the pages that’s coming out as I turn the page into a folder. The author suggest you take this book with you when you’re shopping for plants, but be prepared to have loose pages to keep up with as you shop.

I have all three of Pamela Crawford’s earlier container gardening books, and Easy Patio Veggies and Herbs is a great addition to the series. I have just spent a dreary winter afternoon reading and planning ahead for spring.Like her other books, this one is a perfect source for tested plant information in an organized format. The photographs are beautiful and helpful in planning plant combinations as well as pot sizes.In the herb section, I especially like that in addition to culinary uses, she even includes when to add the herbs in cooking.This book is definitely a 5 star addition to the series!

Pamela Crawford has done the trial and error work for us in her new book! The photos inspire me to try some of her beautiful plant combinations. Her information about container sizes, temperature requirements and tips for each herb and vegetable are so helpful. I have killed more than my fair share of container plants but I am confident of my success by taking this book with me to the garden center when buying plants this spring. She even gives guidance on what size and how many plants to buy for different size containers! I can't wait to start my own beautiful and delicious container herb, vegetable and flower combinations. Wonderful!!!! This is veggie gardening made beautiful and easy. Pamela Crawford gives the most concise information and simple steps to producing abundant patio vegetables and herbs. Anyone can do this!! I’m planning my summer containers with new enthusiasm.
