My new favorite rod!
Okay so TLDRProsRod is sensitive and casts well, performance for me is a 10/10Beautiful designGreat case and makes traveling with it a breeze even with your reel attached.lightweight overall package.great bang for your buck valueConstip can break if you dont baby itCase doesnt provide any easy way of mounting to a pack. But its easy enough to work around. Just inconvenientSo im just gonna mention cons here because honestly the rod feels so good that I could go here and gush about it, but I think plenty of people are already doing that. Its sexy, and feels amazing to use. If your tempted to buy this id say go ahead and try it. The only major things to look out for as cons are as follows, Biggest one is the tip. Many many users say the tip has broken so now im practically counting the days til mine breaks. Replacements are available for a cost but yeah it sucks that you have to baby this beauty but you do. I think mainly just avoid any sharp angles at the tip, or any impacts. Its just because that tip is sooo freaking thin.Case could use one major update, which is somewhere to tie or attach it to your backpack travel case ect. right now unless you have something that can wrap arround it, it doesnt really lend itself to being secured easily. Honestly even just adding a small handle would be enough, cuz at least then you could attach this to any backpack with only 1 strap where right now without a reel you cant secure it very well, and even then its better to have two straps that you can wrap around the reel to keep it in place. I cant complain much because I can carry this on the top Y strap on my backpack just fine, but it would be nice if I could carry it vertically instead of horizontally so I could fit in tighter spaces for camping out in the bush or whatever. Not a major flaw, but something to nit pick over.Aaaaaaaaand thats it. Those are my only two complaints. Some people have said this rod is much less sensitive then its 5ft and 8ft counterparts but I dont own either so I cant really compare. But I will say that ive thrown lil 1/16 to 1/32 jig heads and other lures of that weight range and ive never had issue feeling anything id want to feel, I can feel every lil blade of grass as im pulling a lure through, or every stick and rock I bounce on. And well bites feel like a jackhammer on this thing when compared to fishing heavier tackle so if you really need extra sensitivity that this rod cant provide, I have no idea what your fishing for lolSo yeah if you want it get it. But it might be looking into the 5ft or the 7ft+ models if your really worried about the tip breaking or this rod somehow not being sensitive enough ( which I can hardly imagine. But maybe after I get another UL ill change my mind, in which case Ill edit this)But overall I think this thing is awesome, it shows clever construction techniques, and performs like a dream to me.

Good value for money
It met my expectations, light, versatile and very good materials. A successful purchase

Light weight rod with Medium Light power
Nice rod and super light. Power is as others have said NOT ultralight. The light weight construction combined with the medium light power makes it somewhat unique in my experience. Some concern on breakage with that combination but remains to be seen.

Incredible UL rod
I do a lot of fishing, and most of it on ultralight. My gold standard for an ultralight rod is how far I can fling a trout magnet and grub with no additional weight, and this thing does it amazingly. Not just that, but it feels good, and has a sturdy backbone that holds up against some really feisty stocked trout and big chain pickerel. It also 'feels' better than any other UL rod I've ever used, and makes the Okuma Celilo feel like a big mushy branch. And hell, it's just a handsome looking rod. The only rod better than this 4-piece 6'6" daiwa presso is the 2-piece version of the same rod, but compactness when traveling is a trade-off.

Blown away!
received my 4 pc 6'6" yesterday. Spooled up a new Okuma Ceymar C-30 with 4# fluorocarbon backed by 10# PowePro and it balanced PERFECTLY. My ci4+ Stradic 1000 is too light for this rod. Anyway, scored a handful of 8" bluegill, a 13" rock bass, a small LMB on spinners and a Rapala UL popper. What fun! This is a great rod and willbecome my go-to UL rod in this length. I will say it's a little faster than expected (stiffer), but I had no problem tossing a 1/8 oz spinner 60 feet or so and I wasn't trying hard. We'll see how it holds up, but for the money I don't know how it could be better.

we shall see Daiwa..WE SHALL SEEEEE 😈😈😈😈
It feels like it's going to break first fish. You get 5-stars for now Daiwa, but we will see. I will be using 4lb seagur blue-line and size 10 micro-hooks for surf fishing. I usually do it, but with a different rod and reel. Then, I will be setting the drag light not hard. If it breaks, its garbage. (4 pound line is the minimum size of line recommended). Last, I will be using 10 pound PowerPro.

light and snappy great feel to it
Really really really dig this travel rod, light and snappy great feel to it. I do a lot of fishing on the Texas coast and don't use mass produced stuff so would never touch a Daiwa rod normally, this one impresses me. I will update this review if anything changes after using it. The protective case is nice, I prefer it to a solid tube for sure. The only gripe I could try to find is the Velcro straps to hold the rod in place, would rather have internal sleeves inside the case but that's just nitpicking.

This is NOT an Ultralight Rod! It is a Medium Power Bass Rod
I have a youtube channel ( 'i_fish' ) and a detailed review of the 2 piece spinning rod. That rod is amazing. I got the 4 piece expecting something similar. NOTHING SIMILAR. This thing is STIFF STIFF STIFF. No flex anywhere, NOT EVEN IN THE TIP! U can cast senkos with this rod and violently set the hook for bass - this is how stiff it is.That said, the build quality is still good, and the rod is beautiful. If you want a Medium Power travel rod - you will like it. Just don't confuse it with Ultralight.
