Works very well and is super convenient. I've now been using it for 3 years. It's still working fine after being extended, locked, released, and retracted several times a week. It's far better than any hand-crank hose reel. Mine is an earlier version that comes pre-loaded with 98 feet of 1/2" hose; the current version comes with about 67 feet of 5/8 inch hose. Also, mine didn't claim to be slow retrieval--the instructions advised controlling the hose during retrieval, probably a good idea anyway. One thing that bothers me is that there isn't any obvious indication that it can be reloaded if the hose is damaged! There is also an aesthetic issue that doesn't affect function: The pivot pin is a very loose fit in the holes resulting in the body looking as if its drooping. The current model appears to have a different pivot, and may not have this issue.

I have two of these in our front yard and they are wonderful. These units install on the house wall and take up very little space, and they are up off the ground. For years I've had to struggle with hose reels and other gadgets that were hard to use and were dust, dirt, and leaf, magnets. These units stay clean and easy to use. An added benefit is they are the same color as our house!

It was easy to install and work as it should. The spray nossal could be better. Made cheap, but you can always put a better one on.

This is a game changer in the garden and for car washing. I normally use 5/8 hose, but The 1/2” hose provides great pressure and is a little easier to maneuver.

Garbage. One of ours started having problems almost immediately and now a full year out and it’s completely shot. Nozzle lost connection so water has to be running out the gun or the top blows off and sprays water everywhere. Retractable insides have totally failed so will only retract a small portion then you have to wrap up roughly 20+ feet. DO NOT BUY.

Saw a friend had one, thought it'd be great help watering plants etc. Amazingly simple and much easier hose operation without pinching off or binding. Very well worth it.!

I bought two of these and one of them Will not go all the way in when letting the hose real back in I have three of these I love them but one is defective

For the most part the hose works great only problem I see is the plastic pin that hools it to the wall mount on garbage only been hanging for a couple months now and the pin got warped.
