I bought this as my first fountain tip pen and it's amazing. It's very elegant, writes beautifully, and a bang for its buck.

The pen writes well, some hiccups with the flow of ink after it sits for prolonged periods but once it's flowing it writes very well. The size is absolutely perfect for my hand, just the right dimensions that it doesn't feel too big or too small and it looks amazing. I love how this thing looks, it is the only one I've seen and immediately bought with little research into it.My only complaint is it doesn't weigh much at all and I would have preferred an extra fine nib. I do prefer a much heavier pen for writing. That being said, I still use it daily for making lists and signing documents from time to time as it does write very well. But sadly, it doesn't work for why I bought it but I am still very happy with the design.

My husband bought me this pen for Christmas. It’s beautiful, however I have tried to use it countless times and have followed instructions to a t in an effort to fill the pen. It will not write! I have tried over and over. Very disappointed because it’s beautiful and exactly what I was wanting.

The pen is really nice and i like how it feels. Writes decent only problem is that it came with a broken converter so I can only use the ink it came with.

The Smootherpro looks and feels great. I was pleasantly surprised to find the glassy-smooth rounded base to work well as a stylus on my phone as well, although that feature wasn't listed. My only hesitation on using that end on a regular basis is possible scratching, but it works great even with a light touch, and appears to be built to last, unlike the 'rubber/foam' type on a regular stylus.The fountain pen itself is a bit messy to fill (as are all fountain pens with a cartridge converter) - however, not any worse than others, and the cartridge converter itself is of good quality. I expect I'll get better with practice. The Fine point I got is exactly what I'd hoped for, and while it may not be QUITE as smooth as, say, a Delta Titanio Galassio, I'm very satisfied.
