One of my kids' favorite stories. From age 2 to age 10!

Delightful book in any language. Some essentials are not material things and Fredericks friends understand the value of his "work" only in the cold winter months.

bought it for my grandchildren's "Spanglish" preschool class. I was impressed by the exact translation of the English text. Or was it the reverse?

This book is excellent. I recommend this book especially for classroom activities for the promotion of reading. Furthermore, it is beautifully illustrated

the book is very deteriorated, I did not like it.

Amazon sent the spanish version. Too bad we speak English. But the artwork is so nice my little girl wanted to keep it.

This was the Spanish edition - not evident when I ordered it.

Es tan bueno como esperaba. Las ilustraciones son de muy buena calidad y la historia trata muchos temas (sentimientos, valores, estaciones) en un mismo libro. Tiene una estructura perfecta pues es muy repetitiva i fácil de seguir

Ich kannte die Geschichte noch aus meiner Kindergartenzeit und habe nun meinem Sohn dieses Buch gekauft. Er ist zwar erst 2 und versteht wahrscheinlich noch nicht alles, holt das Buch aber immer wieder hervor. Die Bilder sind einfach gehalten, aber das finde ich angenehm. Ein wirklich schönes Buch!

OK so I loved Frederick when I was a child and thought I'd get a copy for a birthday present. But this edition was in Spanish - not much use to me I'm afraid. Yes, if I'd scrolled down and read the technical details it does say it there, but it never dawned on me to check the language of the book (paperback or hardback, new and secondhand is all I normally consider with books). I don't believe that the other 8 reviewers who gave it 5 stars were referring to this particular edition either so it's rather misleading of Amazon to link the reviews.The pictures are great and I remember the story too so it's 5 star for Frederick - just not in Spanish.(And I have submitted a product description amendment to specify the language of the edition - so hopefully this will be clear now.)

Frederick es una muy linda historia, para leerla hasta con los más pequeños. Originalmente adquirí el libro para leérselo a mi hijo de dos años, pero todos en casa disfrutamos mucho de esta historia sobre el respeto mutuo y la tolerancia. Una muy buena adquisición!
