Healthy material, easy to build, practical size, great price, good reviews
I have grown a small vegetable garden for many years but this is my first raised bed. I did substantial research, and this raised bed has not been a disappointment.A major reason I invest time and money in gardening is to avoid eating food grown in toxic containers. Even expensive organic produce is often grown in plastic, and many researchers believe this is detrimental to human health. Wood is sometimes chemically treated, so galvanized steel seems the ideal raised bed material. My young adult daughter and adolescent son built this without much difficulty, although they initially attached the support bars incorrectly and had to begin again.4 by 8 feet is a perfect size for a raised bed. Wider is too hard to tend, and smaller won't grow enough food for one person, even using a high-production method like square foot gardening. 12 inches deep is enough for all vegetables but not too expensive or difficult to fill.I read reviews for several steel 4x8 beds and eliminated those with problematic trends, like flimsiness. This was the cheapest bed with good reviews. As the picture shows, I used the hugercultur method to fill the bottom of the bed with sticks and dried brush. As per Square Foot Gardening, I will fill the top 6 or 7 inches with "Mel's Mix," which is 1/3 compost, 1/3 vermiculite, and 1/3 sphagnum moss.

Love it
We bought 3 couple of years ago, and they worked great. So when we saw them on sale again, we just had to get a couple of more. They are pretty big and look really nice too, I have gotten compliments and questions on where I got them. They each take about a yard of dirt, just as an FYI. When I build them this summer, I would use the method I have seen over the internet where people fill the bottom with small branches, pine needles and leaves and that should help use less dirt too. So excited to create my new garden this year.Oh and just a warning... where the corners are the metal feels pretty where, so we used pipe wrapping foam to cover them and prevent the metal from creating a safety Hazzard.

Seems a bit thin.
Nice basic raised bed. I bought 2 of them and they went together pretty well.Pros:I liked the the idea of the steel rods for the center braces. Some of the other raised beds use sheet metal parts for these.Cons:The metal gauge used seems to be thinner than the other raised beds I've put together. One of the end panels got wrinkled from a startled racoon colliding with it.The corner connectors are very sharp on their top and bottom edges. The middle braces were kind of hit and miss quality wise. The tabs on there ends were not all bent to a right angle and a couple had large burrs on the end that would .have damaged the sheet metal if they had been installed in that condition.Fixes that I felt needed to be done:I printed 3D corner caps to cover the sharp exposed edges on the corners.I adjusted the middle braces to fit and ground off the burrs and touched up the exposed metal with some silver paint. The tab snapped off on one of the braces and I had it welded by a coworker.

Sturdy, Great Value
I got these raised beds in hopes they'd provide the perfect conditions for our extra garden space. Not only were they on sale but there was also an extra coupon to apply at checkout so I ended up buying two beds for less then the price of one cedar or pine bed. That being said, the price means nothing without the quality and functionality. I can say with confidence, I made the best decision buying these raised beds. They're easy to set up but keep in mind, you may need an extra hand once tackling the corners. We've got kids so we're never short of extra hands. Definitely on the thinner side of materials but it doesn't seem to affect quality one bit. We're looking forward to a nice healthy harvest this upcoming spring and summer season.

you’ll LOVE this garden bed
I absolutely love LOVE this garden bed! It was easy to build up with my partner and my dad’s help! You can build a 4ft bed or an 8ft with the supplies they provide. Reasonably priced especially for the quality! I didnt cage my tomatoes/ cucumbers well at all but you couldnt tell as theres no wear on this steel at all no leaning whatsoever! MUST BUY & HAPPY GROWING!

2.5 years later review:
This lasted as long as I needed it to!Overall happy with the length of time it survived. Just around the 2 year mark, it started to disintegrate with rust. This is not the right choice if you want something long term - probably diy it with some wood would last longer!
