A must have
The UAG Metropolis Series for iPad Pro 12.9" (6th Gen 2022, 5th Gen 2021) is a formidable contender in the world of rugged protective cases. The black case conveys a sense of urban toughness with a blend of functionality and protection that Urban Armor Gear is renowned for.The build quality is robust, ensuring the iPad remains unscathed in various conditions. It's notably heavy-duty, providing peace of mind when it comes to drops, impacts, and abrasions. The cover is well-aligned with the iPad’s ports and buttons, allowing effortless access, and the tactile response is satisfactory, providing convenient interaction with the device. One of the key features of this case is its multi-angle viewing folio stand, which offers versatility in usage. It’s particularly stable and accommodates diverse viewing preferences, making it suitable for various activities such as typing, drawing, or watching videos. The integration of a pencil holder is a thoughtful addition, making it practical for users who use the Apple Pencil frequently; it secures the pencil effectively, preventing it from being misplaced. However, the rugged build contributes to a slightly bulkier profile, potentially a trade-off for those who prefer slimmer designs. This bulkiness can be a bit cumbersome for some users, but it’s a small price to pay for the level of protection it offers. The Metropolis Series Case is an epitome of durability and functionality. It’s ideal for users who are looking for robust protection without compromising on the functional aspect. The added convenience of the pencil holder and the adaptable stand make it a well-rounded choice for the iPad Pro 12.9" owners. In conclusion, the UAG iPad Pro 12.9" Metropolis Series Case is a wise investment for those seeking heavy-duty protection with a dash of urban aesthetics, blending toughness with practicality seamlessly.

Rugged and effective
A fantastic case, good snug fit - with just barely enough room to place a screen protector if you like to have that extra coverage like I do. Do note though, if you DO want to add a screen protector - see if you can't get an exact size check because the space left by the case is REALLY tight. As I had kept my last iPad Pro in a UAG case for damn near 5 years straight until I finally upgraded, I had good faith in this giving me similar results. And so far, it has. I had chosen the smooth model as the model with the textured outer layer eventually started to rub off and leave a lot of debris with time, the smooth case bypasses this. Is it fancy, no, but it's strong and effective without adding so much bulk that makes you feel like you're wrapping in it a Nerf skin.

Excellent, tough iPad Pro cover
Excellent fit with great protection for the iPad Pro. Unlike competitors products, this cover not only protects the iPad, with easy access to all buttons and ports, but is easily removed if you need to use the Magic Keyboard. The cover has good grip surface and the Apple Pencil is held in place firmly as well as charging perfectly. The only downside is the charging port access is slightly blocked, a little careful shaving with a pen knife easily fixes that issue (Be careful though, there is not a lot of material in this area). Overall, best option I have found so far for my iPad Pro 12.9 M2 - 2022.

The reviews are correct - not a good fit for the iPad Pro 5th generation
I had this same case for an older iPad Pro and it was fantastic - sturdy, rugged - so I bought it again - but paid attention to the other reviews for this product. It is definitely too tight and takes serious work to make it fit properly across all sides. And depending on your charging cable you'll need to use a razor blade and trim a little off the top to make the cable fit correctly (including the Apple cable that came with the iPad). The cover also partially covers the speaker holes on the bottom - it's good enough for sound and not exactly muffled but I'll take an exacto knife and make it a little better. Update: used a dremmel tool to shave the edges a little - not fits fune. Trust me - it is definitely installed correctly - this is a slight manufacturing issue. I'm keeping the case - it's better than anything else I've found - I can live with these but the price point should be lower if this is a bad batch.

Durable Case
After having many iPad cases wear poorly over the years, I finally found UAG’s. The one I purchased for my old iPad has lasted for over three years, which was far and away a record. They provide great protection, too. That said, I hesitated and couldn’t give them five stars for this model. This particular model has a flaw which isn’t fatal, but it’s annoying that they didn’t catch and fix it. The power plug slot is so tight that it ONLY fits the cable that the iPad shipped with. The two-meter Apple replacement cables have slightly fatter plugs which do not clear the slot. Again, this is a cable made by Apple, not a third party. The pseudo workaround is to bend the case out of the way. This is a fairly thin area of plastic that I’m sure won’t endure this forever. I don’t think that will destroy its ability to hold the iPad, but I won’t know until it happens. The other problem is maybe a bigger one. Because the case has to be manipulated to fit the plug, you can’t just plug it in quickly. Obviously, if you don’t get it full inserted, the device won’t charge. As I’ve typed this, I’ve started considering dropping my rating to three stars, but I will leave it at three.*** HOPEFULLY THEY WILL FIX THIS FOR FUTURE MODELS!!! ***

Not worth the price.
I wasn’t at all impressed with this cover. It looks very cheaply made. The rubber outside cover felt sort of clingy/sticky. The left upper corner doesn’t fit correctly for the new iPad Gen 5 - a definite design flaw. The rubber kept slipping away from my iPad when open. For the money spent, I expected more. Amazon graciously accepted my return (gotta love Amazon !!!) and I ordered a different case which arrived today. That case was less than 1/2 the price and looks and performs much better. No, I wasn’t looking to spend less, I just wanted better quality. Look elsewhere for a Gen 5 case. This one isn’t it.
