ProCare ComfortFORM Wrist/Abducted Thumb (Medium - Left)

Orthopedic surgeon made custom-fit, removable cast (velcro closure) to immobilize my thumb because of very painful tendonitis in thumb/wrist area. Overuse of opposite hand caused it to need support so I used this Don Joy product to prevent me from needing a custom cast for it as well. I bent the metal support in the Don Joy brace so it held my thumb in about the same position as the orthopedic surgeon's custom-fit cast. Your thumb is in the right position when you can lightly touch the pad of your thumb and first finger together...like the position of the thumb and first finger in the photo of the Don Joy product above. I removed the metal thumb support from the Don Joy brace to shape it to my own wrist/thumb contour. I bent mine over the edge of a counter that was covered with a towel to protect the counter. Anti-inflamatory pills around the clock and Penetrex cream several times per day were necessary for me to progress in healing; I refused cortisone. Write alphabet with fingers to help against atrophy.

Washes up good! Like new.

Very disappointed, the size is much smaller than described. And the seller refuse for me to return it.
