I bought this model about two years ago. I also bought a 2 Hp inverter ready TECO/Westinghouse motor for it. This was to upgrade my mill. They work well even at low speed and a heavy cut. It’s easier to program than other VFDs I’ve installed over the years. I recommend it. But as with all VFDs, if you intend to use this for speed control, do not use it with an older 3 phase motor. They will get damaged after some time as they’re not made for this duty. High quality motors from good firms are mostly inverter ready if they’re less than about 10 years old, but many don’t say that, so call the manufacturer if you’re not sure. You can get a nasty surprise if an older motor is stressed passed it nameplate frequency and speed ratings in either direction. This I’d not a cheap way to get speed control from an old machine.I gave it 4 stars as I don’t like the way the wires come out.
