well, these seeds r going n2 the ground 2day/2moro, so can't answer the 2 questions regarding ez to grow or flavor as yet. Catch ya later on those 2 things.

I plant these seeds on Friday afternoon and have all these sprouts by Monday morning! Both the Genovese and large leaf are growing already! I used a grow mat and but a dome over them.

We have only planted two of the varieties we have received. The large leaf basil has grown very well. It is not quite ready to harvest but the smell is amazing. The opal never sprouted. We got absolutely nothing from those seeds. Its disappointing because I had never had that variety before and was really looking to trying it. We are hoping to harvest the large leaf soon and we will dry it and store it for year round use.

This is a neat collection of heirloom basil seeds. I planted a few of each variety and every seed sprouted within a few days. I'll have more basil than I know what to do with!
