Simplisafe is a damn good system. Hope I never hear any of it in use. All my doors and windows have Simplisafe sensors as well. This pretty much covers it. Everything is soo easy to install and program. Even a tech idiot like me had no problem installing any of it.

I have a complete Simplisafe home security system and find it works well. Understandably, my main concern is reliability. I must be able to trust my system will perform without fail when needed. Yes, I can easily test for door and window openings and motion within protected areas but am somewhat unsure about my glass break sensors. In many home set-ups with large windows, protecting against glass-smash entries are critically important. Because of this, dependable glass break sensors are vital and part of a total security envelope. Because motion sensors are easy to test, I would prefer them but two things stop me from using them. (1) I prefer an intrusion alert before anybody actually enters my home. (2) Motion detectors are problematic with pets and roving house members. So, I employ glass break detectors in some areas. I have tested my Simplisafe glass break sensors using the recommended procedure and hand clap method and they always perform well. However, if I use a glass-smash sounds app on my phone at full volume the detections are hit or miss to say the least. Why is that? Now, I’ll admit that this may not be a true or fair assessment. I believe there could be technical reasons for the unpredictable results. Perhaps the smashing of a real plate glass window produces a sonic wave much more impactful than a recorded one from a tiny phone speaker. So, for now I’m going to take comfort in knowing the loud “hand clap’ tests did work and trust the Simplisafe technology which has been rock solid. As a confidence builder, I'd love to see a Simplisafe video demonstrating glass break sensors in action.

Haven't used it yet... (hopefully never need to) fast shipping. Authentic packaging. Same price or cheaper than the company website. Will buy again.

Is a glass break sensor so not sure why it asks for a star rating for motion detection. Would assume it works but hopefully wont have windows broken so i will never find out for sure
