Commander in Briefs Series 2, Gorgeous: A Commander in Briefs Novel

This is the second story in Kristy’s Commander in Briefs series. You don’t have to read book one to enjoy this, but you will get some spoilers. This was a steamy slow burn romance that will tug at your heartstrings while supplying you with all the angst you can handle. This story was so much more than I thought it would be, it’s a story ultimately about forgiveness not just of others but of yourself as well. I loved everything about this story and the emotions that it conjured. Breck and Cade are perfect together their chemistry was through the roof and their banter was hilarious."For the past few months, instead of my angel, the devil himself appears in the doorway when I wake the house with screams."My heart physically hurt for Cade. He carries around so much guilt about his past that he can’t fully move past it. Kristy had me aching with the need to reach into the story and just hug the crap out of him. We learn in this story what happened to him while he was serving in the military and my soul shattered for this poor broken man."Everything. I want everything she’s willing to give and everything she’s going to make me work for."Breck was wonderful, she’s this stubbornly strong women who knows what she wants and goes for it. She is perfect for Cade she is the strength he needs to ultimately overcome his demons and move on. She is clever and witty and has a tough demeanor, so she doesn’t get pushed around. Her strength and determination are what help slowly break down the walls that Cade has built since his discharge from the Marines. She is his salvation."Her taking all of me. Every. Broken. Piece."Kristy brings to light serious issues regarding veteran’s and their reintegration into civilian society. She wrote Cade with this heartbreaking realness that had me in tears on multiple occasions as he struggled with his demons. Thankfully, she also infused her signature humor throughout to help balance out the heavier emotions. If you haven’t started this series yet do yourself a favor and start it. These stories are phenomenal reads that will pull you in from the first page and hold you captive until the last

Cade wants B in every way but he refuses to let himself have anything that makes him happy. They were enemies at first but because of B’s persistence they became friends. However, the tension and attraction between them begs for more. Cade can only move on to a point, but Brecklyn is not ready to give up.Cade and B went through on a rollercoaster of emotions; anger, frustration, sadness, heartbreak, forgiveness and love. This story had it all. There was an epic bromance, more of Theo and Anniston’s unfiltered antics and unforgettably EPIC love scenes! This family of homeless vets has found a place in my heart! I’m ready for more.

This is the first book I’ve read by Kristy Marie and she has me hooked! I loved Cade and Brecklyn. Brecklyn only knew Cade through her brother. When he died, she looked for cade and found him in a small town. Cade only knew Brecklyn from selling jelly and baked goods at a farmers market. Brecklyn’s boss asks Brecklyn too deliver pies to a wedding that Cade happens to be at. She is asked by the bride to stay at her house while she and her husband are on their Honeymoon. The bride runs a program for injured vets. Cade is very closed off with pretty much everyone and tries to ignore Brecklyn. Brecklyn wind over all the guys, but Cade. These two radiate chemistry, but things are complicated for several reasons. I highly recommend this book and see what happens with these two!

I don’t even know where to start with this review other than this book is freaking awesome!!!! I have been waiting with bated breath to read this book since I finished the last one and I am here to say that the wait was totally worth it. If you haven’t read the first one of these books then what are you waiting for go go now!!!Major Jameson (swoon) he’s damaged, bruised and hiding from the world, he and Anniston have made a start on his recovery but there is a long way to go. Running their foundation to help veterans find their place in the civilian world is what consumes him but he has a little Obsession in the shape of Breck the girl from the market and although he tries to deny it he has to visit the market stall one a week just to get his fix. But with Anniston and Theo now married and off on a honeymoon she’s arranged for Breck to move on to make sure they eat, well that’s the excuse she uses anyway but she sees the way that Cade looks at her and knows that these two are meant to be. Can Breck handle how hard he pushes her away or will she give up and walk away?Breck came to save Cade after she finds an article about him in the paper, he’s a part of her past that she’s thought about more than she should. Major Cade Jameson was with her brother when he took his last breath and lost his entire military team, she has always wanted to find him but he vanished after the tragedy. Her brother was so happy working with him she wanted to know he was ok. Now she can finally speak to him she sees the trauma he deals with everyday. Can she open her heart to him or will he keep rejecting her and once he discovers who she really is will he even want her and forgive her for her lies?This is not an easy book to read the pain these characters feel pour from the pages but the feelings are so worth it and never have two characters deserved happiness as much as these! If you are looking for a passionate, heartbreaking, emotional sexy as hell read then this is it.So Kristy Marie you totally smashed it with this book can’t wait for more in this series honestly one of my fave books this year and of all time too! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I fell in love with the Commander’s boys in Book 1 and Book 2 Gorgeous was everything I had been not so patiently waiting for and more. Gorgeous completely captivated me, it was a struggle to put down and I absolutely loved every moment, paragraph, page and chapter of this sexy and thoroughly engrossing read. I can’t wait for more of the Commanders boys.Thank you Kristy Marie for this sensational read and for making me feel like part of this gorgeous, unconventional and wonderful family of misfits.Cade and Brecklyn’s story was tearful, engrossing, humorous and incredibly sexy read.Bring on more of the Veterans.
