Forney 85653 Spool Gun for Forney Multi-Process Welders fits Forney 322 & 324

It worked well. Was not impressed that the plastic box and gun were not labeled. I was concerned that this was a knock off of the actual Forney spool gun. It worked as it should.

The Forney 85653 Spool Gun with the 20ft. length "does get it done" we do commercial stairs and railing. Time is our enemy and we cannot have breakdowns! Also, the extra time it takes in grinding off slag from using flux or stick welding is not acceptable and the end result by using gas is more efficient and gives a clean look.Our clients have stated that our work is unsurpassed and the reason is credited to being innovative and utilizing the right equipment for the jobs.With my 45 years of welding experience I stand behind my recommendation of the Forney Welding equipment.

Cons: This is a pain to load the wire into, and if it bird nests on you, good luck. I adjusted the tension so that the rollers would spin on the wire if I fouled the tip. It works a ton better than digging out a birds nest. It will only run at 100 inches a minute max.Overall, now that I'm done griping a little, it works really well. It isnt too bulky. There is a knob on the bottom of the grip to adjust the wire speed. You'll have to go back to the machine to adjust your voltage. No big deal though. I would definitely recommend it. It isnt perfect, hence the 4 stars, but worth the investment so far.
