Is this rug a true primary red or more of a burgundy?

What color is the backing of the red rug? I purchased one from another seller and was very disappointed, I could see the white backing through most of the shag.

Is this easy to vacuum? Or will things get stuck in it? Will a typical upright vac pull too much at the carpeting?
