We've one of those, old school, school house, crank it to sharpen it pencil sharpeners at our house, and have had for decades. It's pretty awesome, a well made, ancient, machine that will put a point on a pencil like nobodies business.....But this Trunium sharpener has somehow out done that one. Points up a pencil with no cranking or effort and creates the perfect point....would buy this again for sure!

This sharpener came charged and ready to go! It's quiet, compact, quick, and gets my pencils very sharp. It takes very little pressure to activate and there's a little blue light to tell you it's going on and that the charge is good. This item is a little heavier than I expected, but feels sturdy and stable on my desk. For reference, it's a little larger than a soda-pop can in height and bottom diameter; most of the weight is in the bottom end and should ensure its stability on my desk during use. It's also very simple to open and clean out, plus the little manual says the blades are replaceable! So far I have no complaints.

I sharpened all of the ones in the picture in less than 2 minutes. Very powerful and not needing batteries is always a plus!!

Maybe I got a different version than others, but my sharpener has a battery inside it and doesn't need to be plugged in to use, only to charge. I love this feature. I use pencils for many woodworking projects. I am always trying to hunt down a sharp pencil to make a mark but for some reason, I leave them anywhere except where I can find them. I go to grab a new pencil and it's dull and useless! While my wife had some different suggestions for me, I bought this pencil sharpener to keep near my woodworking area. The big bonus for me was the rechargeable battery so I don't always have to have it near a plug in. Easy to open and pour out the shavings and pencils so sharp, I'm likely to regret the first time I poke myself with it!

Works well. Much faster than the hand sharpener we were using! Second picture shows sharpened pencils from this sharpener. Has some sort of sensor that stops when it thinks the pencil is sharp. Sometimes it stops a little early, which is fine with me because I would rather not sharpen away too much pencil. When this happens, you just put it in for another cycle.This is rechargeable and charges with a usb power block (not included).

I also like the size, It is half smaller than my X-ACTO School Pro Classroom Electric Pencil Sharpener, but had similar strength. It save up quite a bit of space on the desk and it got 4 small grips on the bottom to prevent too much movement. I also like how the there is a blue light indicator once the sharpener is plug in, which my other sharpener does not have that function.

This pencil sharpener is do convenient, and it fits nicely on my desk. I work from home, and my grandson attends school. We are so happy with this purchase. By the way, it is powered by USB so you can connect it directly to your computer.

I purchased this sharpener for my daughter, who loves to draw using colored pencils as well as lead pencils. As you can imagine- she frequently needs to sharpen her pencils so we needed something that could handle repetitive use. This sharpener is absolutely perfect for that! It does a great job sharpening to a fine point and she loves that she can move it from one area to another with ease.
