I bought this muzzle because my Whippet puppy, who is 20lbs when writing this, was literately eating anything in the yard that he could get his mouth on. Leaves, sticks, bark, dirt, rocks, rabbit droppings, etc. It was a tremendous battle trying to clear his mouth over and over again. He would actually chew up and swallow what he could, which made us quite nervous. So, I measured his muzzle and ordered this muzzle. It's a soft silicone, which is unique among muzzles, and quite cute on him. It looks like a little pig snout on him and he actually routes around on the ground with it like a pig would. Some stuff manages to get through the opening on the end, due to the holes, but it's not much. We can let him run free in our fenced back yard now. To get him used to wearing it, I slowly introduced it to him. Putting it on for just a minute, and then taking it off. I did that over and over, during the coarse of a day, increasing the time slightly. He managed to get it off at first, but looping the strap under his collar, solved that problem. Now, when I pull out the muzzle, he runs over and sticks his snout inside all on his own. He associates the muzzle with going outside and having fun, so it's a win win. I'm going to buy the XL for when he outgrows this size.

This is a nice gentle muzzle. My dog is about 12 pounds, a chihuahua mix but with a longer snout than most chihuahuas, and the small size is roomy around his mouth, but fits snugly where it counts. I bought it primarily so he can get his vaccinations without biting people and so that he can wear it for a few minutes when guests come in the door, until he calms down & gets acquainted because he will sometimes nip pant legs. We’re still practicing putting it on for a few seconds everyday for treats. Do not expect your dog to be totally cool trying to wear a muzzle without a few days /weeks of gradual positive reinforcement.

My 15lb dog needed the Large. In reality I don't know if the new larger, Large, replacement will fit yet. My dogs muzzle circumference is 7 1/4" so hopefully the 7.8"(who measures imperial measurements in .8 inches) and who knows if the head strap length will fit or if the adjustments are limited and it's to loose. I don't feel like the sizing chart is clear enough but maybe I'm expecting to much.Now as for the Chinese made muzzle itself, it is very well made and the materials seem to be all in high quality and should last the lifetime of my pet. At $16 it is on the pricey side and I would say you are getting what you pay for.Maxlyn included some literature asking to contact them first so they can make things right but they also state that they will get back to you in 24hrs. Unfortunately, 24 hrs in e-commerce is like a lifetime, you know how many competitors want your money, it just isn't as fast as canceling and putting in another order with Amazon and having it at my door in less than 24 hrs. You get one chance at first impressions, as an online consumer I feel giving the company a second chance is a big deal. At only 3 ratings I'd think you'd take things seriously otherwise why waste your time in this business.

Super cute and good material, but runs way too small. My 25lb pup is sporting an XL and he’s nearly outgrown it. Need to make much larger versions for medium and large breeds.

So far my pup is comfortable with it. She destroyed her last 2 within the first day. She hasn’t even attempted to try and rip this one off yet.

Well my dog doesn't like it....but I love it. 😊It protects her and others while she gets groomed. 👌🏾

It makes my dog look like a duck, but if fits perfectly, and can be adjusted. It stops him from barking, and allows him to calm down, and still be able to breathe freely.

These are thick, soft, not hard rubber and cute. The straps are a good quality. Very impressed! We purchased one in every size for our veterinarian hospital. We use muzzles for a very short time.
