Molasses in it
Very potent. Adjusts pH down easily with a small amount. It has molasses in it so that's kinda cool for my organic plants. I'm on well water and have to adjust for some plants. I've recently switched to building super soils and haven't had to pH my water on those. I believe the active ingredient in this is citric acid. It's a decent deal if it's under $20. If it's more than that just buy citric acid and black strap molasses.

Very strong
This works great and is easy to use for 1g of water that is 8.75 I can dip a small dowel in it then dip in my water and stir. That drops it to 6.50ish

DO NOT USE IN DWC! HYDRO! OR ANY OTHER AERO/HYDRO APPLICATION! CONTAINS MOLASSES!
Product says it's for hydro, but it contains molasses, which is bad for almost all hydro applications that try to stay completely sludge/bacteria free, so it's sad to see them mislabel it, which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. Though it was great to use for my outdoor plants. Great price for a liter of product that is also beneficial to many things in the soil, that in turn help the plants :)just don't use it for DWC/any other hydro/aero form. it will kill your plants. i'm not joking.

It definitely works
My tap water has a ph of about 8 and my plants needed to be fed water at around 6. I followed the recommended solution amounts of ph down/gallon of water and saw a much greater drop in ph than I needed. I learned that a very small amount will do the trick but that I had to kind of guess at what that amount is every time I refilled my watering can. So the recommended chart doesn't seem to be accurate unless I made a mistake following directions (which is possible). Still it works very well and after making some adjustments I'm very happy with the product.

Best I’ve used
I’ve used two different products, and I tried this. I love this stuff. Plus the bottle has a great design that makes it simple 👍

This stuff is STRONG
With my PH Up, 1/4 tsp usually brings my watering can's worth of water +0.2-0.4 pts of PH. The same amount of this PH down brought it down almost 1 full point of PH, so use sparingly if adjusting a small amount of water.

NOT for Hydro!
Don't order this if you plan on using it for hydroponics. I had serious issues and almost lost all of my plants in my RDWC setup. I switched to this because the price was right and I thought it was going to provide what I needed. I failed to notice that it had molassas in it. When I switched to this stuff I noticed that after about 2 days my tanks developed a bubbly scum in them. This scum led to massive pH swings. My tanks went from 5.6 pH to 6.7 pH in less than 4 hours. I tried everything. I even emptied my system and started over with this product. Ultimately after having continual problems, I finally resolved it by going back to my original brand. On every attempt with this product, I used a natural enzyme to prevent root issues and slime. None of that helped with this. I believe the issue was caused by the molassas fermenting in my buckets.

Super concentrated and pH will shift over time.
The instructions are a bit misleading in terms of how much to use. This stuff is incredibly concentrated and will require a bit of trial and error, especially if you have to scale back on the amount of water you intend on using. I ended up using 0.02 oz for 1 gallon of water that originally tested @ 8 pH to bring it down to 6.5 pH. So far, the pH has shifted to 7 or so after a day. Not a huge deal as I can work around it and now I can add slightly more pH down a night before knowing it'll shift to my desired levels while the chlorine evaporates. I prefer the general hydroponics as it requires much less work, but I am concerned about maintaining healthy microbial life so I went with this brand.

⭐ Unbelievably Disappointing ⭐
I purchased the Safer Gro PH Adjuster with high hopes of maintaining a stable pH level in my hydroponics setup, but I couldn't have been more disappointed. After spending hours carefully adjusting the pH of my nutrient solution, I was shocked to find that after just 5 hours, the pH shot back up to a staggering 8.1 – higher than even the pH of my tap water!I strongly suspect that this product contains molasses, which seems to be causing this bizarre pH instability. Who would have thought that molasses would be a key ingredient in a pH adjuster? This unexpected consequence has wreaked havoc on my plants, and I fear irreparable damage has been done.Adding insult to injury, the instructions on the packet are a complete disaster. Following their recommendations led to a catastrophic acidification of my nutrient solution. It's as if they want to sabotage your hydroponic efforts! My plants have suffered tremendously due to this misleading guidance, and I'm left picking up the pieces.Save yourself the frustration, time, and money by avoiding the Safer Gro PH Adjuster at all costs. It's beyond frustrating to invest in a product that not only fails to deliver on its promises but actively harms your plants. I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated by this experience, and I urge fellow growers to steer clear of this disastrous product. Your plants deserve better, and so do you.
