First of all, I started using Modelones over a year ago and LOVE their products, cheap in price compared to everything else, but GREAT quality!Second of all, a lot of the bad reviews I saw seemed to only be bad because they didn't actually know how to use gel nail polish (user error)... So here's how to use gel nail polish.What You'll Need:1. UV/LED Curing Lamp/Light2. Nail File or Buffer3. Nail Primer4. Base Coat5. Gel Nail Polish (color is your choice)6. Top Coat7. UV Gel Cleansing TowelettesStep 1: File your nails with a nail file or buffer, dust off, then apply your Nail Primer.Step 2: Apply your Base Coat, cure for at least 60 seconds (picture of a UV/LED Curing Light attached, you HAVE to have this in order to use gel nail polish).Step 3: Apply your Gel Nail Polish, cure for at least 60 seconds, curing in between coats, if you need another coat (I only needed one coat for the red I used).Step 4: Apply your Top Coat, cure for the full 90 seconds.Step 5: If your gel nail polish doesn't claim to be "no-wipe" then you'll need to wipe them with UV Gel Cleansing Towelettes or they'll be tacky.Hope this helped! This trio is absolute crap. I saw all the great reviews, and I fell for all of them. This seems like it’ll be the best base/top coat and it is NOT. I have done all my prep correctly, cured it for 90-120 seconds, and it PEELS off like wallpaper. Actually, no: wallpaper is harder to get off than this joke of a gel manicure. Nothing I do changes the fact that this stuff will chip/peel off within 2 days of doing your nails. I hate this trio SO MUCH. Do not waste your money and fall for all the reviews!

I've bought the Modelones formula before. I like it, even if it's on the thicker side. It's easy enough to work with and the colors are pretty. I did like this set, although I found the pictures in the product description weren't as accurate as I'd like. The set has a good variety of useful colors, most of which I didn't have. The glitter shades in particular are super pretty in this set. The dark brown glitter will be really great for fall and the red/gold glitter topper is great for holidays.The only color I had problems with was the darkest gray. That one wrinkled really badly on the swatch stick. I haven't used it since, but it might be OK with a super thin coat and double curing.I'm fine with the 7 ml bottles. They should last a good while. I'm only doing my own nails and even a 5 ml bottle can do more than 60 nails (six full manicures) on average length nails.The polish stayed on fine over my hard gel overlay, and I didn't have any issues with chipping or peeling.Overall, I'm happy with the gels and will buy from the brand again if I need more colors.

I’ve used other products by this company (polygel builder nails), but this was my first experience with their polishes.I’ve only used this set once so far, so I don’t know if my experience was just related to the specific color I chose (Bing Cherry, shown here with some silver striping tape I already owned), or if it’s all of their polishes, but the color was very thin—more like a thin glaze—compared to others I’ve used (beetles and sally hansen). There was a LOT of streaking, especially in the first coat. In the photo I’ve included, I used three coats, and thought about using a fourth. This could also be more of an issue because I used the polish on my natural nails, as opposed to any sort of acrylic or polygel base. Because you’re supposed to use thin coats, it wasn’t an “issue,” but I was personally a bit surprised—and it meant I used more polish than expected, which may be worth considering, as the bottles are fairly small. That said, I still expect to be able to get at least a few manicures out of each bottle.Everything cured easily, and I DO love that it’s a no-wipe topcoat, so it’s nice and slick (instead of tacky) as soon as the top coat is done curing, which saves you a step (and makes it easier to be certain everything is fully cured and set).The set has a nice assortment of colors, so you can try out some bright or dark colors along with more neutral shades. I suspect I’ll need to buy more base coat and top coat, though, as there are enough polish options that I expect I’ll go through the bottles of top & base well before I use up all the bottles of colored polish.I’ve only had the kit about a week, but so far, the polish is holding up. I’ll update my review (originally written March 27, 2021) when I use a different color polish from the kit and have a better idea if the thinness of the color is just with the one I chose first, or seems to be consistent throughout the kit.Overall, I’d buy this again, especially at this price

Love modelones brand and their gel polish did nt disappoint. 24 bottles for less then 20.00 is a great deal. They are small 7ml but if you're starting off this would be a great buy. Comes with lots of different colors also comes with standard colors like red, blue, and black. I'm wearing the red in my pictures. It self levels which is nice. I did 2 coats since I had clear gel tips on. Definitely going to order more sets.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I bought this specifically for the matte top coat , it does look good and works good at first, however after a few days of wear and tear , the matte slowly started to chip towards the tips ( nothing major just small chips on about 3 nails ) . However, I do use my nails to pet my dog and cat A LOT , which probably didn’t help. Also , when I get my nails done in a salon they always warn me that matte top coats don’t last as long , so I know it’s not just this brand , it’s all matte top coats in general . The glossy top coat and the base works great!

I got the base and no wipe coat, along with the black gel polish to do the chrome look. It's a bit of a process to achieve, but I love the outcome. The black, before the chrome powder was awesome, all by itself. I'll be going straight black, next round.

I’m on a hunt for the best gel polish and this most definitely is not a good one. It’s very chunky and hard to spread evenly across the nail and the brush is a cheap one and the brush fibres kept falling out ruining my pedicure. It hardened really well though so 2/5

It's a very nice thick color, one or 2 coats is very nice. What I don't like, is that even with proper prepping, sealing, curing, even curing 2 or 3 times, it starts to chip within a day or two, then peels off almost completely. Occasionally it'll last almost a week, and when I do use soak off techniques to remove it, it comes off very nicely. Would rate 5 stars if it actually lasted longer

Polish was too thick. Peels fast. Not sure if expired or old. But I won’t purchase again.

Not good quality. Painted my nails last night, after doing dishes today the hot water made polish bubble and start to peel. (2 coats plus base and top coat thati nornally usewith no issues) 2nd time ive used this colour happened both times. Also within 3hr of doing my sons nails they all juat peeled off
