Don't know why the fish like these more than the look-alikes
I always try the cheaper spinners but end up catching more trout on the Mepp's hair-tailed spinners.

Good sheet
Great spinner. After about 30 hard fighting pike they loose the hair off the treble hook. but they are well made and work great.

Finally a Home Run
I had a lake near my home that was always difficult to catch bass. Tried multiple top water, frogs and metal lures with virtually no luck. Then I tried this lure from Amazon (Mepps Aglia #5) and hit large mouth bass 3 days in a row. In fact today, caught the largest fresh water fish I ever caught and at 70, and fishing since a kid, that is saying something. It measured in over 25” and looked more like a Striper than a LMB.

Catches fish
These older lures still catch fish and are easy to use. Considering some newer lures are pushing $20, these remain a well priced option.
