i received the product and as soon as i put it in the cage my parakeet attack it? is that normal?

My parakeet loves to stand on it...he loves to bat it with his claw ...he will literally try to turn it on himself if we don't turn it on as soon as we wake up...It may look like your bird is attacking it but your bird is probably bonding with it like mine has....mine is in love with it

where can i buy replacement battries for this product ?

When my batteries died, I got replacement batteries at my local Menards, although you can get them here too.  I bought Energizer 357/303 and they work fine.  Two batteries cost less than a replacement plastic parakeet.  My parakeet loves this little plastic bird and can now mimic the sound it makes, which he does to sooth himself when the plastic one is offline.

What color did you get?

When I ordered (summer 2018) there was not an option to choose a color, and I received the yellow headed with the green body and dark blackish-brown markings to accentuate/add depth to the back feathers. Mine looks identical to the one pictured on the item's page.  I purchased this item b/c a very close friend suddenly passed away & it seemed no one in her family wanted her 2 budgies and were literally going to "set them free" into the wild. Even though I had never owned a bird, I just could not let them free and felt like I needed to step up. I offered to re-home "Ragnar" & "Loki", and so I did. About 14 months after these 2 lovely birds came home to me, I walked through one morning to find Loki had passed. Several weeks later, Ragnar still wasn't himself. Even though I'd put Ragnar in the largest budgie-approved indoor cage I could find (on Amazon), the poor baby spent most of his time at the bottom of his cage. One day I noticed he seemed kind of "wobbly" while perching on the cage's bottom. I took him to a aviary focused vet. She said he had no apparent physical issues & was likely very lonely for his mate. I wasn't sure I wanted another bird simply to keep one happy and purchased this bird on Amazon. BOY! Did Ragnar's physical demeanor do a 180°. as for your question about color--Budgoes don't seem to recognize the color patterns of other budgies. Therefore & if you already have a budgie and are thinking of purchasing this item, any color combo actually should be fine.

Is there an OFF button for at night?

Hi!Yes, there is an off button.It's really great and cute. The only "negative" is that it was conceived for the entertainment of a real live parakeet snd so his green base is formed with a hole in the middle to put through the round perches in cages; so the bird "sits" next to the live bird.That wouldn't be a problem for entertaining a person if the bottom of the green base was flat and this bird could thus stand on a table.  But the bottom of the base is "ball" shaped. So this parakeet needs to be put in some sort of heavy small container to hold him up.But he's well worth solving this inconvenience as he's very life like, cute and sings beautifully.My mother (92) loves him.
