Curve Mini Simmons Surfboard Bag Travel - Boost Retro Single with 20mm Foam Size 5'3 to 6'3

Bought this for a 5’3 mini simmons shape and it was slightly big but worked well. The only downside is the board bag does not zip up with fins on. I would have given 5 stars if it was able to do that. One other positive for this bag is being slightly long (5’3 model) I was able to fit a 5’8 mini simmons in it. Might not work for all brands but it barely fit my 5’8.

Could use a bit more girth near the rear of the bag to make room for fins, when you try to zip it closed. I give it a 7/10 for that reason. Otherwise it's well made. I just dont want to have to take off my fins if the bag is used daily.

I know kneeboarders are an endangered species but this Mini Simmons Retro bag is the best travel bag for those that still surf with their knees. You probably will not see anything like this for quality and price in the surf shops. I know I didn't. Most kneeboards from Fish, tri-fin, quad-fin, square tail to wide round tail tend to be wider and under 6'. I got the 5' 9". The 24" width board capability and wide tail space of this design allows a wide variety of my kneeboards to fit including my 5'9", 5'8" and 5'7" boards. For air travel it appears you would want removable fins unless they are shorter and you could foam protect them since their are no fin opening but with extra side space you could get by for short trips to the beach or for carrying wetsuit and swimfins too. Bag has large opening with rugged zipper to fit in fat boards. I am heading from LAX to Sidney on a surf trip soon and intend to bubble wrap the board to protect side rails, top and bottom from crazy plane luggage handlers. The nose and tail are already well protected by this rugged design. Since California made surfing the state sport the airlines in this state are recently exempting for the large extra baggage charge on round trips through CA airports so Kneelos can economically travel with their strange smaller wider custom boards.

Great bag for the price. It came on time is a well constructed board bag. Only issue i have is that if you have large glass-on keel fins it can make the fit tight for the zipper to close. I got the 5’6” bag. My mini-Simmons is a 5’4” x 22.25” x 2.75” with glassed on keels. Bag still works fine... just tight to zip closed. Solid product for sure.

I have 7-8 boards with bags, ranging from good to fair in quality in padding/ zippers.For the price your bag is by far the best in a value to cost ratio.Outstanding day bag and even as an airline bag if packed correctly in bubble wrap would work at the price point of a day bsg.The 6’ bag fits my 5’9” fish with room to add cushion for when it’s tossed through the airport

Well crafted. Quality materials. Bag won't close with glass on fins. Huge disappointment. This is a mini simmons bag and it won't close if the board has glass on fins. BTW my fins are shallow "Bar of Soap" fins. Otherwise, would be perfect. This def won't stop me from purchasing a bag from this company again. Probably would have sent this back if I had the board when I bought the bag though considering I cant travel with it.

I have vernor mini simmons (5'8") and wasn't able to find a bag that fit until I stumbled upon the Curve board bag. It fits my board like a dream with a 2" buffer at the bottom. Construction is top notch with plenty of padding, solid stitching, reflective paneling. I was so pleased with it I purchased another in a shortboard outline for my 6'0 Midas. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who has an alternative shape.
