I've never used fountain pens before but wanted to switch, and I'm glad I did.it's easy to hold and very very smooth to write :)

Que mal que la pluma con fama de ser muy buena, agil y suave al escribir no funcione correctamente, es desesperante que no circule la timta al empezar a escribir una palabra, linea o dibujo, el punto de la pluma es grueso llamado LH, yo la pedi M lo cual es el mismo grosor de punto , tal vez eso sea lo que impida que funcione correctamente, la voy a regresar, el cuerpo de la pluma es ligero y de buena calidad, pero eso no importa tanto, lo importante es que no se detenga al escribir.

I love a medium nib that writes smoothly when it comes to fountain pens and this delivers. I have a few others and I like these using cartridges or the converter to use my own fun inks. I ordered blue Lamy cartridges and they work beautifully. It feels smooth on the paper and the clip on the cap keeps it from rolling away when I set it down which is a nice touch. It’s light in the hand so it would work great for writing for a long time such as notes in a class or a good hardy daily pen at work. The color is bright and cheery and easy to find in my purse. I am a huge fan and plan on getting more of these. One difference in this pen over others in this series is the clip is red as well not silver which gives it a very modern look. This pen does come with one cartridge in the pen that you need to start before using by removing a cardboard circlet. The cartridge it comes with is the blue you see in my demonstration of writing.

I don't have a macro lens that focuses this closely, but the nib on this pen, does not even look like a genuine Lamy "M" nib. The point is a different shape. Nothing, nothing at all is stamped on the nib. Some of the better almost passing counterfeit items, they will at least attempt to etch "Lamy" and the width on their nibs to try to pass. these people didn't even try to go that far. The nib width is not German or European M, it writes smaller than the F width, so if this is an M width, it is an Asian M, which is finer than the German M. But it is a moot point, because it writes like crap, with uneven flow, just a terrible pen, The original Lamy Safaris made in Germany are great, this is like a $5 item at best. Shame on "The Stationary Store" for selling this. Hard to tell if the entire Pen is counterfeit, but the nib certainly is. I noticed they sell the nibs alone, perhaps they swap them out and sell the nibs by themselves and put a 50 cent crappy chinese nib on, I'm not sure,

I just started my fountain pen journey and I wanted to start with Lamy Safari. My favorite color is purple so I chose the color Violet, for the nib (tip of the fountain pen) I wanted it to write thin but I didn't want it to be too thin to strach the paper and I went with the F (fine).There was no comment from US on this product but I wanted to gave it a go. I watched a Youtube video to detirmine if these are original or not. I believe these Lamy Safari fountain pens are original. Their caps are okay, there is letterings on right spots(the box, surface facing the body window, at the bottom of the pen), the letterings look sharp and right, the body turns and stops at the right point, when the cartridge is empty you can see through the window without obstruction.First one I got was probably a faulty from factory or damage during transit but I wanted a replacement and I'm very happy with it!Only complaint for me is the shape of the holding part. If I hold the pen as it intended to be, my holding gets less stable and I don't write as good as I want to. So I hold a little different, one finger on the indent and other on the bump itself. If youre holding your pen in weird way this may not be the best for you but otherwise I definetely recommend you try it!
