I don't know what the actual difference is between country sugar and jaggery is, but I basically bought this product because of the amount of product, 2 kg, and the color, as a replacement to jaggery. I was making a gingerbread that called for a certain amount of jaggery but I needed dark jaggery. At any case this was a great replacement. The taste and flavor is wonderfully dark and rich. It pairs wells with the robust flavor of ginger. I have been known to use a spoonful or two in my chai. I absolutely love this sugar.

You need to acquire a taste for this. I like it, but some don't prefer this.But excellent sugar.It's powdery, and the packing is not that great ... we had ordered 10 kgs., and several of them were opened, and by the time it reached us, it was all sticky and very messy .. but, that's the nature of this sugar :-)If they can find a way to package it nicely, it will be very good.But this is not everyone's taste .. you may want to try 1 kg first and if you like it, buy more.However, it's an excellent sugar for brownies and cake mixture. Healthy.

Product is good but packing is unexpectedly poor.

Cost is very high than the taste of the product. It seems it not pure product.

When I got the product it was oozing out of the packet. Wasn't properly packed. And there is some kind of impurities also. Otherwise it smells good.

One of the best and authentic south Indian Jaggery. The taste is very intense . It is good for making sweets. A bit expensive but lasts long.

This real brown sugar . Khandsari. Healthy and good replacement of sugar. Not issue in sweetness. I use in all my sweet dish and tea too. Just use lil amount more than you used to use sugar.
