Legit!
EDIT: So bummed - after 4 uses the arm sheared right off, making the flame/canisters inaccessible without touching the logs directly. We found out the wood burning fireplace in our new home wasn’t safe for use, and we didnt want to take on the project of adding a gas line to our home to convert it — I searched for an alternative and ended up trying Terrflame and SO thrilled we did. The flame is LEGIT, it looks beautiful and is a breeze to set up.

Very realistic!! Love this product :)
We live in a very old home and we thought the fireplaces were working when we bought it. Unfortunately they were totally inoperable. We are in a limited budget so we cannot perform the needed work to make them work. When I found this I thought it couldn’t possibly be as nice as the picture but it is!! We love it and now we can have the ambiance of a fire - I have it to my husband for Christmas and lit it for when he came down Christmas morning - such a great surprise and made for a very cozy Christmas morning

Nice obviance
I need help putting it together. There are not many pieces but it was hard to get the last piece in. It looks beautiful and it really does crackle I do not trust my chimney so this is the next best thing to a real fire. The canister's last a few hours There is no mess to clean up

The cost is worth it for the fireplace moments
When we were moving the most important thing on our list for a new home was a fireplace… we didn’t think to check that it was a real working gas fireplace.. it turns out the gas fireplace was drilled into and destroyed and turned into a horrible electric fireplace. We have received multiple quotes to have it turned back into a gas fireplace. Cost is around $7,000-12,000 to have it done. It’s out of budget right now and we have deeply missed our fireplace. We stumbled upon this. This amazing option and so far it exceeds our expectations. We read the assembly was hard but it wasn’t to tricky to figure out and we also read the lift arm sheered off so we are extra careful when we lift the top logs in hopes it doesn’t happen. So far so good. We love it… we love the look, we love that it actually heats up our living room and it’s even better than a gas fireplace because it SOUNDS like a real fireplace. If you’re on the fence. Just do it. You won’t regret it.

Looks like a REAL fire.
Love it! Looks like a real fire. Gives off some heat, not much. But would be better than nothing in a power outage. Makes for a romantic night by the fireplace.

Love the ambience
Saw this on sale and decided to order. Arrived nicely packed. Not too heavy to pick up. Had zero issues assembling. Log placement was simple. Grateful for the six cans of gel that came with it. Kinda wished I got the 24 inch logs but this size will do. Can't wait to try out. Now just waiting for cooler weather. Plan to use throughout the colder months and upcoming holiday season!!

Instructions are very bad and cheap metal
I was very excited to receive the TerraFlame logs and had planned to purchase other TerraFlame products that utilize the gel cans. My first impression of the $400 log set came when assembling the product.Another reviewer noted that the lift arm broke a few months after use. I can see why, as the steel bars are too small for the weight after the top logs have been placed. The welds used on the arm are inconsistent, and I’m not sure how long they will hold. It appears that the lift arm was designed without taking into account the weight of the logs. The instructions for assembly were incredibly poor for a product in this price range. This is coming from an engineer who has built and assembled many products from Amazon. The font on the instructions is very small and difficult to read. The hardware is sometimes referred to by the label “A”, “B”, etc. Other times the hardware is referred to by the hardware dimensions rather than A, B, etc.Multiple steps are combined into one, and the pictures are too small and too dark to see how parts are supposed to be oriented. It can be a guessing game until you think you have a part correctly oriented. When placing the logs, very little instruction is given, and I’m still pretty sure I don’t have them correct, as the logs I received do not match the logs in the instruction. The top logs are even worse. First off, again, the logs in the instructions do not match the logs I received. I did my best to match the instructions as closely as possible, though the instructions show different configurations in different steps, which are even different from the photo on Amazon.I regret paying $400 for this set, and I could not recommend it currently. Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be many other products like this. The company should put more effort into making clear directions that match what the customer receives. First impressions are important.

Creates a cozy light
Not sure it provides much heat (if that's what you are looking for) but it does create a cozy atmosphere if your wood burning fireplace is temporarily out of commission.
