worth the extra money - good well made fencing pliers

These are about double the price of many other similar tools, but I feel that the price is well worth it for the quality of the tool. I've broken three sets of the lower-priced imported fencing pliers due to flaws in the steel (the handles break where they attach to the head), but these channellock brand ones have performed flawlessly so far. These are the only ones I could find that are still made in the USA.

These are my second pair of Channel lock fence pliers. Everyone fought over the first pair. Actually my Father in Law had this same brand, always! But, these are not cheap in comparison to similar pliers. I have bought another brand, because I have a son that looses things in the field. Channel lock cuts better, is half the weight, and is much more able to articulate/dexterous when putting on wire ties that hold the wire to the post. So whoever has the channel locks, IS the wire tie person on the project. It makes that much of a difference. But if you misplace them it hurts at a 40$ price tag. Plus USA made
