Q: Can you lay on it inflated with out popping it

Don't do that,. same as sitting on a 48" balloon. it will simply pop too easy. That is why I got that Animal zebra balloon from inflatableworld.de. I cannot get those 84" whale balloons from Intex I do have a video on it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IW74ZoVaCAI&t=14s

I would say no. The opening wasn't that big to get into. We used a compresser to blow it up and we didn't even get it to 6 feet.

I would say yes that it does inflate to that size without appearing overextended. This balloon is well made and sturdy.
